I have only 3 weeks left to use the option. The option runs out 01-31.

I thought that was time enough, because a german car magazine said Cayman and Boxster will come march 15. But it will be june or later until the Spyder will come. Never trust a magazine.....

I can only try to move my hole order incl the GTS to june. But then I will loose my discount. I am undecided. I looks like the Spyder will be expensive and maybe too sporty and no PDK.

I too have a order... Mine for a Cayman GTS, but I have time as mine is a PTS car and that isn't happening until the 2016MY which is June production.

I thought you wanted a manual?

So the GT4 has been released officially... Taken from PH today:

From a German site...

The Cayman GT4 is now configurable on the Porsche site, by the dealers, all without pictures, only option lists and prices, all the different options are listed, but what was missing is the cars BASIC PRICE. At the moment the car is only available as a "Manual"/3.8 ltr and 380 PS, sports seats plus and 20 inch GT4 wheels, but no tyre sizes...

Separately on tyres, it looks like 265/295 F/R, up 30mm from standard 20"

Talked with the dealer today, they still have no news and before they can accept my deposit they are going to get the right of first refusal from their more established customers. I was naive enough to think that I can simply get on the list after buying a poor Macan

I would check a different dealer. Where are you located?

Pretty sure its the same damned engine same ECU - PAG marketing has always played these ridiculous games with the stated HP numbers (@ slightly different RPMs), just so there is an illusory difference on the window stickers at the showrooms. Stupid Bull ****.

I will not use my option to change my order from Boxster GTS to Boxster Spyder.

+1, don't give them your business.

There are plenty of dealers that will treat you with more respect.

What others have said... find another dealer, and stop bringing any business to the one you bought your Macan from. I've never owned a Porsche and I'm first on the list at my local dealer. Granted I had to put in a 1k (fully refundable) deposit, but they were happy to give me paperwork showing that I am in fact on their list and in the #1 spot.

I am #1 on a list but I decided to get a Viper TA 2.0 instead and keep my '12 Spyder. I can check if its transferable. I had to put $2500 down.

You are a little late to the party regardless of some of the other posts. Its way to close to this and they probably already have several on their list. I believe what they told you is that they don't expect to have that many allocations; that they already have a waiting list list above and beyond.

Even in Germany the GT4 is not official orderable.
Dealer configurator is empty (again) for the GT4.

You have to wait some more days, weeks.
