You are trying to point at a 4-way CAT which has already been rejected because it doesn't hold up to track. Cars at shows are rarely the latest and greatest that will go to the public.

Looked under the speedster's skirt at the NYIAS. It's as shown in the pics above, massive gpf components on either side and a tiny center muffler. No kidding the exhaust is lighter, it's tiny, but they don't mention the boat anchor gpfs.... talk about marketing spin..... Almost as much spin as 4l from the GT3

I’m sure the US GT4s won’t get the GPF...but you never know. 1948 total world units vs maybe US 3500 units

if bothered to read the thread, you would know that we were discussing the latest GT4 video might sound ****ty because of the GPF. Someone mentioned Us spec cars won’t have them . I just stated the US spec Speedster does indeed have GPF. You can make your own conclusions...

I wrote that the particulate filter is the back half of the catalyst, as in the front being closest to the front of the car, and the back being closest to the back of the car.
The cutaway clearly shows the section of the catalyst leading rearward into the particulate chamber.

However I don't think Porsche is going to adopt "brake dust particle filters" on their cars any time soon. PCCB and PSCB already takes care of this, they just need to have to production capacity to offer the latter as standard on volume models (which I thought would happen with PSCB on the 992 Carrera, but quite apparently that's not the case).

I probably chose the worst time to consider a new toy. Debating between a 981 GT4 and Spyder only to be right on the verge of the 718 GT4/Spyder being announced in a few months (hopefully).

What is everyone's thoughts on pricing? The GT4/Spyder used market for the moment looks to range from high $80s to mid $90s for a 5-10K mile car. Highly spec'd cars new had a MSRP of what? $110-$120K? Do we expect the GT4/Spyder to be in the $130-$140K range?

Since when is weight savings low a good thing? Agreed that it is good to remove it from the rear, but low? Why mention that as a positive?

With 911's, everything is the opposite as what common sense would have you believe...

Maybe 130 with almost every option box checked. It will start at under a 100 I'm guessing 94.

Impossible to say but I think that they’d still sell all of them quickly if it started at $105k, unless specs disappoint people.

The price of the last GT4 was a gift. Not sure Porsche will be as willing to give up low hanging fruit profits as they were. They underpriced the last car - whether they did that on purpose or they’ve since considered it a mistake, who knows.

Its not actually weight savings. The eliminated the mufflers but added the particulate filter. My guess is the whole exhaust is heavier.

So, at this point, we still dont know which NA flat 6 the GT4 will be getting? If it doesn't have a true GT derived engine, it will be highly disappointing.
