718 GT4?
#7351
For clarity since no one explicitly posted the price in here:
718 GT4 MSRP $99,200
718 Spyder MSRP $96,300
+ $1,250 delivery fee
That's a $13,605 increase in base price on the GT4. Quite a lot. There will be tons of builds easily into the $120-130k range and up. I bet some will touch $150k with PTS and all.
That's good support for 981 GT4 prices too.

After all this time, it's nice to finally have the details. Launch color looks nice. I like the yellow.
No doubt the total package will exceed the sum of its parts. Porsche always seem to pull that off. I'm sure the chassis is considerably better than the 981. However, I'm now even more thrilled I have my current GT4. The 718 styling just isn't for me. The 981 GT4, for me, is pretty much utopia. And I was afraid they'd do something that would have me itching for an upgrade. They did not. So now I don't have to play the allocation game.
Really surprised about the $99,200 starting price. More than i expected.
Very excited to keep reading and looking forward to reviews!

Here is my math using the gt3 configurator in the usage
99,200
Chrono - 550
Extended tank - 140
Auto dimming - 700
Bucket seats - 5200
Delivery fee - 1250
Fire estinguisher - 140
Bose - 1600
Total - 108780
It could go up if I do fancy paint or weight adding leather. I'm guessing most frugal builds will be around 110-115

Hate to burst you bubble but the 981 wan't limited either and after throwing around the 2500-2600 figures a lot more were produced.....but don't worry we get it you don't want the new 718 GT4.
Since you or no one knows production figures facts for the new one just pass your allocation to someone that will drive the car and not worry about future values.

My 2 cents. Have not seen the configurator yet but I am keeping my Spyder. I don't feel I can part with that kinda cash for something that's not a GT3 based motor. If I had not had my current Spyder I would have gotten it in a heart beat. But I think for that kind of money I can get an aston v12 vantage s with a dog leg next year. Just can't justify it. Great car though I am sure it will be amazing. Porsche says 10 sec quicker around the ring than the current generation.

The 718 GT4 gained a lot of weight if those numbers are correct... Heavier than the manual 991 GT3? Significant impact vs the trend particularly when compared to the previous model which was a high side outlier:
