I could not agree more. I started a thread like this last year and got way to many silly opinions to put it mildly.

it's not porsh AH

it's porsch UH and a very brief UH at that - check evo mag on this one. or just ask a native german speaker.

If you simply prefer to pronounce it as "Porsh" despite knowing it's incorrect, then that's your prerogative. I suppose it's also OK for you to pronounce "Zegg-Nah," "Ver-sayce," and Bruno "Magg-lee."
OK OK!! I get it and surrender. I pronounce it wrong and I see the err of my ways!! Next you'll want me to start rolling my R's when saying Enrique!

Perhaps when this experiment is all over, I'll work on pronouncing it right!

Ben, no one says Porsh-AH

It's either Porsh or Porsha(uh) with the short uh, as you stated.

I'm simply trying to see what percentage of P-owners pronounce it one way v. the other, as stated before.

Bet if you can pronounce "Nike" correctly, you can pronounce "Porsche" correctly, too.

Just giving you a hard time for some fun, Gant. For the record, other than my immediate circle, I've never corrected anyone when they say "Porsh." But since you asked...

What the hell is wrong with Al Gore... so-sul security? WTF is that all about. It's so-shul.

BTW, I say Porsh. Then again, I'm a prairie Hillbilly from Canada.
