Porsche still doing ED, or permanently cancelled?

I’m happy to confirm that European Deliveries are still happening. I picked up my 992 GT3 MT today in Leipzig. Felipe was the Porsche driving coach and product delivery expert that worked with me. He was excellent!
The experience included lots of laps of the test track in one of Porsche’s PDK GT3s. It was pretty mind blowing.
My delivery included a factory tour as well which was really interesting. Derek did a great job leading the tour.

I read somewhere on Rennlist that cars can be stored in Leipzig for up to a few months. Any chance you can delay your pick up?

Sorry to hear that. I know I was on pins and needles, worried mine would get cancelled. Even in the two days I was in Germany before the delivery happened.

I contacted the US ED Delivery and the response this morning for my July 2022 for a 992 GT3 and it was "we are still paused and we'll reevaluate in January on a spring reopening".
So based on the email I received they are currently Closed for USA ED and will not know until January if they will be re-opened in the spring.

Hopefully your dealer can put you in touch with the Euro delivery specialist at Porsche - I found that contact person was really helpful. If you happen to be Canadian DM me for the contact info I have.
I also had a great sales person who helped get me the best date possible.

Yeah, that was me that reported it, I was told so from the ED coordinator in Atlanta that there was a hard limit at Zuffenhausen (6 weeks IIRC) and at Leipzig there was much more room for storage so he could probably work a couple-three months. But all that is on top of 4-6 weeks that he told me was the minimum after production that it took to get the car registered with tourist tags, etc., so May delivery probably couldn't be picked up before June anyway. Strongly recommend you contact them directly for confirmation on all this, they are super helpful.

I hope this isn't to elementary but can someone explain the allocation advantage for EU delivery. I have heard it is good for USA dealers and opens up allocation some.
I would like to get a GT3 in Germany in the summer if that is possible. Any dealers you know doing that for reasonable ADM ($20-50K).

For your other question ED does give the dealer another allocation for a Porsche -- not a GT3 car.
