Is anyone else planning a ED in late September?

I'm scheduled for 9/21 in Leipzig.

I just received an email this morning that my date has been cancelled (after booking my flights).

My plan is to take the vacation and rent a car and have the car delivered to my dealer. This is disappointing but **** happens. Any other options?

What were your dates? Is the car finished? Mine was finished early so the car is just waiting for me now. If they cancel I’ll still take the vacation.

My date was October 5th. They offered to reschedule, but I need to weigh the cost and inconvenience of changing my reservations (with the possibility of another cancellation).

I was under the impression that I was to wait until the date was confirmed before making travel arrangements, so I held off until they gave me a build slot and took my VAT deposit. It appears that this wasn't the case. I wish I had been given more information about the possibility of a cancellation.

They told me that there was a decent likelihood of re-scheduling because of certification. Luckily, I was able to change my flight with no additional cost.

Found yesterday that the October 5 date for the scheduled European Delivery of our GT4 in Stuttgart was canceled by the factory due to part shortages. And I already had air reservations and finally we got it changed to October 20 -- hope the weather is not a lot worse. THe factory puts winter tires on the car for the use in Europe and then they install new tires before they ship the car to the states. Determined to make this work -- hope they don't cancel this new date. THe Nurburgring closes on October 30 I understand and we would like to drive the track (albeit slowly in this brand new car) just to say the car has been there.

Did Porsche volunteer to assist with the cost of changing flights?

Delta has no charges for changing flights at the moment - but the new tickets could cost more or less I suppose and I either get a refund or I have extra expense.
If your crazy enough to pay $100,000 for a tiny car with no navigation system as standard they rightfully think you will pay for other stuff too.

Though it’s no consolation to those who have been delayed, but I’m happy it doesn’t seem covid related. Since my car is made, it should be a go. Mine is a C4S Cab MT. They finished it ahead of schedule. I’m curious as to what the build differences are which cause the delay?

Yes, mine was also cancelled (see above). For those wondering, Porsche is giving the option to have LA or Atlanta experience delivery now at no extra cost for those are weighing whether to roll the dice on a new delivery date in Germany. I'm considering it.

I have a PTS GT3 slot that is currently showing an estimated completion date of December 10. Seems Leipzig delivery beginning of January might be a reasonably safe bet?
