Porsche still doing ED, or permanently cancelled?

Weird. Mine was built on Jan 11, and just waiting now for me to pick it up. A friend had his built the week after mine. I guess they had just enough parts.

ED
Thats a bummer, when was/is your car scheduled to be built? I’m waiting to hear on ED for my 911GTS which is scheduled for build late April. Based on your experience I’m not hopeful that my ED request will be approved.

k-dogg, I felt the same pain last September for my planned October delivery of my 2022 Targa 4S when I got the following message from PCNA:
Good Afternoon,
It is with deep regret that we must cancel your European Delivery. Covid-19 has caused substantial delays with our supply chain and registration process and we can no longer accurately determine a delivery date. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience this will undoubtedly cause. We would like to offer you an Atlanta or LA Delivery Experience at no charge OR we can have the vehicle sent to the dealership. We understand you may need some time to make a decision. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Best regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen,

Ultimately, I went ahead and travelled to Germany with a friend on the original dates because we already had the tickets and my wife was very understanding. Kept the planned itinerary, only via train instead. (Not quite the same as driving the autobahns...) The Targa was shipped to my dealer and arrived about two weeks after I returned home. Happy ending.

What car are we talking about here?
When had you placed your initial order (and did you have to wait to do so or not)?
The papers you were supposed to e-sign where to proceed with final payment, etc?
And now, just to confirm, since you can organize the ED, you are cancelling altogether, correct?
And if yes to the prior question, what was the dealership’s attitude? Did they even care since they will be receiving the car sooner for their inventory or what!?
Thank you in advance for any additional insight you are willing to share!

That is really a bummer! Makes me a little nervous about my May 3 pickup date. But as I understand it, my car is actually complete now and just waiting on us, so I hope those airline and hotel reservations are not in vain.

Targa GTS…PTS option. Received the allocation on 11/21…PTS process delayed build confirmation until 1/19/22
My order is not cancelled, only ED canceled (for now) according to my dealer we will keep the request in place and I may get reinstated
Otherwise I will just get the car here in Chitown….

My order was originated July 2021 for an April 2022 completion and pick up. It was for the 2022 911 Carrera Cabriolet. It does seem that some models are more likely to be completed on schedule than others.

Anyone been to Germany recently? Is the economy/stores back to normal/open? Do you have to wear a mask everywhere or have they relaxed that? I understand they still have a vax requirement unless you want to self-isolate for a week or so.
