I LOVE endurance racing. I don't think I have the time to do both an RL league AND this other one (especially when the other one has minimum participation requirements) but the concept seems really cool. I wonder, if we're able to keep participation up in our regular RL series, if we'd get enough interest to run a parallel endurance series too? Maybe do it with another car board, like, say, CorvetteForum or something?

I don't know if I could do an endurance race just yet, but I think if we wanted a mixed class we'd have to get another forum to join in. I mean how many people here aren't going to pick to drive the ruf?

Yeah I kinda figured everybody here would pick the RUF. That's why I was thinking of another forum. We know CorvetteForum exists and a Corvette exists in iRacing. Plus there is the natural Corvette vs. Porsche rivalry Add a little weight to the Corvette and it could be a good match up?

If you're going to be around - try to do the official 2.4. It's a blast, and puts a fun flavor on things if you've never tried to run for that long and stay clean.

 

When is the official 2.4 race?

I think it would be fun to do mixed class instead of adding weight.

 

It used to be the morning of the start of the actual 24.

I missed it last year (was down at the 24) and will miss it again this year (will be down at the 24, leaving Friday morning W00T!!!) so I haven't paid attention to whether or not it changed. But the 2.4 used to end right in time for me to head upstairs to watch the start of the actual 24.
