I hear you, I certainly don't want cost to deter anyway from participation. I'm pretty good with anything really and I do like we mix up the power cars and momentum cars.

Star Mazda you'll have to buy, tons of grip/downforce, but gearing matters...not a real powerful engine and a pretty narrow rev band. it's a fun car.
Yep, the SM is what you might call a Downforce/Momentum car, and it's definitely a blast to drive.

I'm good with Star Mazda @ Summit.

Yeah, that was a crazy race Justin. I was looking more in the rear view mirror than ahead!

Can we do slower cars? They make for great close racing.

I like to mix it up; slow cars and fast cars, different tracks, etc. I'd like to do more oval/NASCAR stuff but y'all are road course snobs

but if it's close racing you want, Indycar at Milwaukee would do the trick.

I'll nix the Dallara at Milwaukee and I love Indy Car Oval...cookie cutter conga line racing is nerve wracking.

Got the new Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2 wheel today...and the damn thing doesn't link to the PC. Installed, uninstalled the driver multiple times, updated all my USB drivers, tried different USB ports...nothing. Email sent to Fanatec support. A subsequent search reveals that Fanatec has notoriously terrible support, and being in Germany, the email thread will be grueling.

I did the Indy Car at Michigan last night in the fixed setup. Once the idiots crashed out, it was a good time. I like racing the silver crown cars at Michigan or Iowa. Good close racing.
