It partially makes sense on this as the track will destroy the paint… not many taking these cars to the track (although I bet it would be hella fun)

LOL! It is actually her vehicle! Still, I wouldn't' believe me either. I would much rather have a 911, no SUV for me. We were headed to the dealer the next day to secure our build slot and she said, "Call and tell them never mind, I hate the black plastic. It looks cheap. I'll get something else!" I thought for what this will cost, she is not wrong. But, before I called, I started checking out the exterior options to see if there was a way to get rid of all the black plastic and found the front facia upgrade. It changed most of the black plastic to paint (the full sport didn't have a render yet, so I didn't know it took it another step further). She liked it and she ordered it that way the next day. We ordered on July 24th and still have a ways for the Dec 17 delivery to see if it looks good and if she's happy with it turned out.

My situation is reversed. Although it's my wife's car, she wasn't super sold on making the additional changes to her '23 (which isn't even as egregious). When she sees it in person now, compared to without it, she's very happy we added it.

I will probably do the same with the carbon fiber interior trim.
Has anyone gone forward with this? I am in a 2024 Cayenne loaner right now and of course it has the sport design fascias. My wife is grumbling about how nice it looks and telling me "this has to get fixed". "I think about it every time I drive my car."

I talked to my dealership about it and they basically shrugged and said "call a body shop". But if I can't get something a bit more turn-key, I'll never find time to get it done.

I walked around the dealership yesterday and I couldn't find one without this option: wish they had been smart enough last April to tell me to get it!

Any news on this? I’d be interested in the carbon fiber trim and maybe some other bits. Don’t see it available on the website?

I didn’t quite get the complaints however now that i see this thread i agree on the non-coupe it doesn’t look quite right/complete. I definately agree the hatch release is slightly low and annoying I am 6’ 2”. On my white coupe that i bought off the lot i didn’t even think about the plastic lower - it is fine, but it is tupperware for sure. i haven’t see a white design coupe irl though. would i pine away and wish i didn’t have tupperware lower trim? meh I don’t know. In pics the design cars can look a bit too monochromatic too me - however i don’t think the cayenne is a car that photographs well. they always look better in real life.

This is what the "SportDesign Package" option is for.

Maybe Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer will help, on my previous 2019 Cayenne i had the same issue, car was black and the rear spoiler was a mess on the plastic side, i have used Sonax Plastic Restorer Black 409100 and it help.

You can always clean it up with alcohol.

I saw a 2024 coupe with the design package in white or chalk - it was dark so hard to tell the exact color. it looked great. I wish i could have taken a closer look. we passed each other 4 or 5 time pretty slowly. probably another 2024 owner saying “hey look! another 2024!!!” which is exactly what I was doing!
