The price of that package makes no sense. That package has 80% margin for them built in

On midnight blue it’s also not very noticeable but on that Grey can’t be without it.

well it’s much more than $3600 to get rid of all of it. $3600 just does MOST.

Also, KIAs these days are just drenched in high gloss black, it’s actually kind of sad.

find a reputable body shop that specializes in porsche

purchase a primed lower portion, have it painted and installed

My view point.

I don’t dislike it without the sport design pack “SDP”

The bottom of the doors are more of an issue to me than the rear bumper.

The lack of SDP looks worse on black and crayon. Part the reason I went for Montego blue.

It does look better with the SDP.

I wouldn’t look to change it afterward. My days of aftermarket colour coding are over.

I didn’t tick the box. I spent the money instead on rear axle steer & PDCC.

All the above are obviously only my opinion.

While we are at this, this cheap plastic piece on the edge of the upper wing. It doesn't go well with any material used up there and it should have been high gloss black and the only way to get rid of it is to add "SportDesign Package in High Gloss Black" for a cheap $6k.

I’d agree with that on the spoiler.

One further and pointless thing to add.

With the Taycan Cross Turismo you’re charged a premium over the Sport Turismo and a whole load of painted areas are then black plastic.

Which seems to be the “in” thing to make something look more outdoorsy.

While anticipating picking up my white E-Hybrid the store conveniently had a '23 and '24 parked next to each other. Someone may have mentioned this, but the power latch for the rear lid unfortunately picks up more dust and dirt being mounted low.

When I had ordered a MY23 hybrid I added the Sport Design pkg because I didn’t like the front grill. The standard grill on the MY24 looks a lot better, but I still have the SD pkg in my build because the unpainted rear and side skirts are butt ugly IMHO. Porsche should be ashamed, but they’ll still get my $3,600.

Frankly, when my MY24 that I ordered in April was pushed back to a February 2024 delivery I was pretty bummed, but c’est la vie. Now that I’ve used this time to see just what Montego blue exterior and brick red interior look like along with the ridiculous list of new model hold ups and recalls has been (If I understand it correctly, the work required to replace the cable harness in the hybrid requires the dealer’s shop to lift the engine! This isn’t a 911), I feel MUCH better to have to wait and see if Porsche can build it right the first time. I’ll bet that firing techs from the QC provides more profit than not painting these parts.

True i did the same when ordering my MY23 hybrid. I couldn’t agree more that the front grill of MY24 is far better than the standard front of MY23 and before but the side and rear lower panels are pure shame in this MY24

so Porsche strategy is working by removing basic standard things and repackaging them with huge margin. I am not blaming you but am sure they have done their market research and know who their customers are and are trying to make as much profit out of them as possible.
