I really think that your Cayenne S will leave earlier than shown. Mine stayed at Emden from June 20th until July 25th, when it finally on left.

Fellow Cayenne Fans
Just a curiosity question...

On the TYD app and My Porsche website, Is the route map shows correct ?.

My TYD app/ Porsche Web site shows as if SFLComposer ( apparently the ship on which my Cayenne S is loaded) is traveling to Davisville Via north of UK, while the ship tracking apps like Vesselfinder etc. show that SFL Composer traveling via English Channel.

The arrival dates somewhat seem to match ( Porsche tracking shows Aug 5th arrival) and the Davisville port schedule also shows SFL berthing on Aug 5th but some of the vessel tracking sites shows possible early arrival in Davisville.

I have noted the same issue since my Cayenne S is on the SFL Composer. It definitely took the English Channel route which is shorter. After that, TYD adjusted ETA to Aug. 5 which was a few days earlier than initially shown. I would think that the Marine Traffic site is correct. So Aug 4 should be the ETA that I would trust.

Thank you Carman. What Color is your Cayenne. I ordered the Quartzite Grey with Black Leather interior.

I always skip upgrading the wheel size vs. the standard issue.

For me, larger wheel have only cosmetic appeal but no driving advantage. They add more issues ( More frequent alignments and a bit rougher ride) as well as ready availability / price of tires etc.

I prefer the driving tech additions ( PDCC / Rear Axel Steering etc.) than the bigger wheels / exhaust .

It may not be necessarily scientifically accurate but just a personal opinion / preference.

Starting a conversation on Cayenne purchase / build

What are the add-ons you are considering...e.g. Protection Plans, Pre paid maintenance, Porsche connect services, Paint protection, Ceramic coating etc..

Just to start, I am considering the 10 year Vehicle Service Protection ( Platinum Plan). I have requested my dealer for a quote but have not received any yet.

On the Porsche Connect services,I am thinking of going for car security package( $ 280/ Year) but not so sure on the Verizon in-Car Wi-Fi Hotspot (Need to learn more on this to check if this actually adds any value over the Unlimited plans that I / wife have on our phones ).

Also going for the full front Paint protection film (PPF). I was quoted ~ 2500 by the dealer for this. (I had that done Full Front PPF on my 2016 Audi and seen the benefits first hand. No stone chip on the car.)

I am skipping any Ceramic coating and will just use "Zaino" polishes on the car as I have done on all my cars.

Would appreciate input and discussion as it will help us all. Also, if you have already had any discussion on the pricing on any of these items, please share as this would help others in negotiating.

PPF and/or Ceramic at an independent shop who specializes in it. It’ll be less expensive and better quality. Everything else is a hard no IMO.

Mine has been at the German port since 7/14 and was scheduled for an 8/3 delivery but I'm sad to say it was pushed out to late September over the weekend. Does anyone know if the stop sale is only for delivery from the dealership to the customer or for shipment from Germany as well?

Just in case my situation is a reference point. My Cayenne S reached German Port on 06/20 and finally left Germany on 07/25. It is now expected to reach USA ( Davisville) on August 5th.
