It's kinda the semantics area, but what you are referring to is how a normal car goes about getting the CPO.

In our case PCNA just gifted it to us in an effort to appease.

Regardless of the process of application, the backend warranty is the same.

I too was originally of the belief that they were separate, but the link they give you for the warranty info is indeed the CPO page.

I think that was what cohenfive asked since he is thinking of buying from a private owner.
From a purchaser's perspective it's no different than being the 3rd or later owner. Unknown and uncertified things have likely happened since the CPO was applied, but the warranty is still valid until it ages or miles out.

It would be great if POA also inspects my CD and replaces worn out items.
Your dealer would be happy to take care of that for you, you just won't like the cost.

The CPO process is not free when you are buying a freshly CPO'd car. The cost of the process is factored into the price they are willing to sell the car for. The dealer is not paying for those replaced parts in the end and neither is PCNA (unless it's still under warranty and they are covered parts).

I'll let you know when I get the details on the options on the pepper diesel I'm considering. The seller doesn't seem in too big a rush since he hasn't gotten back to me! Gorgeous color combo though...looks like something like ocean blue metallic with umber interior.

Do you have a VIN?

You can order the key sides (in pretty much any Porsche color) and replace the flat black ones that were probably standard.

And please stop saying pepper.

or you can buy chinese ones on ebay for less than $20. I'm all for authentic stuff, but porsches prices are f'ing ridiculous. I got a pair of carbon fiber covers for my 991 and pink ones for my wife's Cayenne key for about 20 shipped.

Why? It's a pet name, just like P!g.

The sad part is how long it took me to get the Pepper connection...

Once in a while? Fine... but every single reference to the Cayenne as pepper gets old.

I don't want to be a pita, but this thread is about the diesel emissions issue and not whether you should buy a particular one or not. Please start another thread with your concerns.

You are right, deleted the message. I started on point, got sidetracked.

It is... but while we've been waiting for information, the thread has wandered aimlessly at times.

Apologies in advance for those that only want comments on the diesel emission issue- but I couldn't resist.
I can understand handicap spaces, expectant mother spaces, employee of the month spaces, but low emission vehicle reserved spots really annoy me. So self righteous. Next thing you know they'll give thousands of dollars in tax credits to buy electric cars.

Default diesel warranty

Hello,
New to the forum. Also considering the 2013 Cayenne diesel. I read an earlier post about the 6 yr or 100k extended warranty for original owners. Would this extend to me if I purchase the car? I'm dubious & the local Porsche dealership won't discuss it with me. Credit union won't sell me an aftermarket warranty for a Porsche.
