FPace a good bit smaller than Cayenne, if my memory from sitting in it serves me correctly.

Today I saw a story that Audi may start the buy back of Q7 3.0L TDIs in Germany.

I have seen a few F-pace around and they do look really good. I have not driven one so I no idea how it drives. Diesel option would be good as well.

I never buy the first year model of any car. We will have to wait couple of years to see how the F-pace reliability stacks up.

You mean a story from Germany and not a buy back in Germany, right?

Covered this about 3 pages ago.

I do find it curious. But as I said previously, Der Spiegel is not know for glowing smoke.

I too am questioning what to replace this car with if it gets purchased back. I test drove a '14 GTS a month ago and was somewhat unimpressed to be honest.

I drove an E63S recently.... if I can find a wagon, maybe that would be the answer! Sadly I watched the gas gauge move down while on my test drive. I also picked up a new C63S, and while I absolutely love the car, the build quality is clearly lower than the Cayenne/Porsche in general.

If it comes to replacement I will be looking at a Mazda CX-9.

The fpace 2.0 diesels landed in the US a couple of weeks ago so should be able to do some test drives soon. The not-available 3.0 would be a better alternative. Rear seat depth size falls between the Cayenne and Macan that allows the length of cargo to be about the same as the Cayenne. Early impressions on fpaceforum are of course favorable.

I've been reading up on the Panamera hybrid as a possibility. The new version looks better and there is a good amount of flexible storage space with rear seats down. I don't understand the mileage testing cycle but with on-the-road charging it should be better than a gasser.

RMS leaking and being replaced under CPO on 2013 Cayenne Diesel at 70K miles. My CPO good to 2020 and 125K miles so hope the diesel fix whatever it may be is survivable

I had my RMS replaced around 15k miles. They dropped the engine and came out with an unexpected alignment. There were 4 pages of the warranty work submitted to PNA that would have cost me $12,000 to fix. The bonus CPO will last long enough to get an '18 pannie.

I am surprised that the CX-9 provides that kind of torque from a 4 cylinder. Will check it out in addition to the soon to be released Land Rover Disco.

Just drove the CD over the mountains to Nevada on a stormy day. It felt so safe and effortless. Would really want to keep it.

They tuned it to be Diesel like. Low redline, low HP, high torque. Pretty smart. The MPG doesn't quite match a Diesel but exceeds a gasser by quite a bit, IRL.

Just my $0.02

We had a diesel for three weeks until the Porsche police came after the dealer who bought it back at a substantial loss to them. Loved, loved, loved that car. Been thinking about a Cayenne S but haven't pulled the trigger.

Went and looked at an F Pace 3.0 and Range Rover Sport with the diesel motor.

The F Pace looks great. The motor is nice, not a ton of low end grunt and maybe not as quick as you'd expect but it is a heavy car. Bigger than a Macan, slightly smaller than a Cayenne. What was a no sale for us was the interior. Low-rent hard plastics, very plain and not put together well. The armrests are for someone with 36" arms they are so low. Really, just an awful place to be.

The RR Sport diesel has the grunt. Not as refined as the Audi V6 mill. The car was finished well as you'd expect. A little too "land yacht" for us. The "sport" in the name is really relative to other RR products.

We're still considering a Cayenne S but kinda holding out a eentsie weeny, teeny tiny glimmer of hope November 3rd has some good news.

I need to tow my cars to the track. If diesel goes bye it's a gmc truck or a cayenne s. Depends how far I want to jump.
