Have you tried that code yourself? Or is length not long enough?

If you can guide me to it, I'll try it.

IIRC on the VAG-COM a single security code was valid for all modules in that category.

Thus access on a VAG-COM to Control Module (09) to gain entry to modify the *** as well as the dozens of modules under Control Module uses a single (5 digit) code.

Although you can't use the VAG-COM for any Porsche vehicles (this has been covered endlessly as label and UDS etc.files are missing) I would venture a guess that a similar structure is used with a secret code enabling access to all modules/units within that group.

Please note that several critical items (such as Kessey and SKC) have a single or double PASS/FAIL log and will totally lock the car out if you don't enter the right code; I doubt this would be the case here but just a heads up.

As to length of key no idea unless Launch actually delimits the number of digits to be entered.

Sorry my bad. I thought I saw it when pressing "write code" but No. There is no pop up window for security code unless it is in another menu

I would assume that option is not available for your year/model.

I do have the option in Launch x431 to remote close the tailgate and it is set to "Inactive".
I dont have the security code pop up but I thought someone mentioned that security code must be entered in model 958.1. Maybe it is not available in Launch x431 pro but available in PIWIS II

You'd need to find who posted it and whether the OP found the code or whether it simply popped up requesting a code which the OP never entered.

Again it could be that or simply that the option is globally available but depending on year and model for those non compatible models shows up as inactive. Meaning it is inactive and/or inactive and not changeable for that particular year. Would the coders have gone the extra mile and greyed out the inactive for those specific years where the function could not be altered? Remember that the 958.1 are years 2010-14 or 6 to 10 years young.

Just trying to understand the logic used.

I have a 2011 CTT, I'd like to do two things. (I have an X431) I'd like to turn on the steering wheel heater automatically with the driver's seat and I'd like my boost gauge in PSI
I seem to recall seeing the steering wheel option but I don't think I ever saw anyone change the boost guage.

I've been looking for a way it would remember to keep the heated steering and seat ON automatically as well. Haven't found it as yet.

You may have adjusted the boost pressure in sport or sport plus mode if you have it. On my Macan, I have the chrono package with sport plus button, I had to adjust the max boost pressure in 3 separate spots, regular, sport, and sport plus.

I'll check today on x.431. While using PWIS II a while back, I did see this option.

Light on this.. I read that all EU models had remote open/close for the rear lid.

In playing around with x.431, I bet something has to be changed with...
1. Non-usa
2. Production/non production
3. Some security module
4. Reset rear lid module and reprogram

I've already tried 1.
Tried 2, but doesn't write code.
For 3, I don't know if there is security on the rear lid module and where in the menu its located if its there. Doesn't seem like its write protected, seems like there is preventative code to not allow the remote function to activate. I did see a trim code set that xan be modified, but I don't know what other trim codes available to input.
4. I did default reset and that did nothing.

Also, I tried actuation tests and testing rear lid close doesn't work, but closing it using the height edjustment does close it.

I know there's a company that sells aftermarket box that wires into the rear lid and allows the closure if rear lid from the remote. But I want to conquer this puzzle with x.431 or PIWIS II.

hotrod2448 and Eskimo1, this is for you. It was located in the front-end electronics module.

I think this is incomplete and it also applies to mirror retracting on Lock. I was able to add the mirror retract on lock using your steps above, but it never worked until I enable comfort function. See below.

Need to go into: System Selection=>Front End Electronics=>Code/brush Hiding=>Rule Coding=>Coding Value=>Coding Value_1=>Comfort function via remote

This one is that enables it all, the windows up/down, sunroof open/close, mirror retract all with remote.
