Jeff, Nice. So how tough was it? Did you use the banjo fittings that came with the kit or different ones (silver)?

I got the banjo fittings from a local hose shop. Took the catch can down and they found a fitting. Then used an adapter from the catch can hose to 3/4" hose, then from 3/4" hose to the 1" molded hose I got at Advance Auto Parts. I just went behind the counter to their hose stores until I found a hose with a few bends in it I thought would work. I took off the elbow from the 3 way PCV valve, stuck the 1" hose on there and clamped it to the valve cover and the rest of the 3way PCV valve. Made a mount from the top of the catch can to one of the beauty cover mounts. Probably should paint it or something but right now it's in test mode. Gonna see how much oil it catches, or if I even have it hooked up the right way or backwards.
Installed 4 new hatch lift struts today. I figure they're all junk with a 3 to 4 year life span, and since I had an Amazon gift card, I bought the cheapest generic Chinese set I could find.
Total cost was $64 delivered through Prime. Main were $45 and glass were $15. Install was WAY easier than I thought it would be, so if I have to do them again in a year or two, it's no big deal.
The Stabilus that came out were about 1 year old when I bought the Cayenne, so I have nothing to compare with when new.
These things are quite strong, takes two hands to close. Is this normal for brand new struts?

That's not normal for the OE stuff to do. The Chinese ones, well, this is better than the other way around
In my experience, which was not on a Cayenne, is that these don't last as long and go from super aggressive opening, to slow opening and being noisy relatively quickly.
It seems to me like these knock off ones failed quality testing, or had not quality testing at all. I stopped buying them because their performance is not consistent.
Since they are on, use them and they will probably be fine for a while.

Well, that stinks. Though everyone warns people about the Pano roof in the 957, I'm thinking that might actually prevent the headliner from ever falling, as there's virtually no headliner except just a small perimeter area.
As I’ve got an MOT due on Thursday I decided to fix an intermittent fault on a rear parking sensor. £13 part from the online auction place and a couple of YouTube instructional videos made for a good Sunday morning activity.
As I was flying solo I thought the chairs would offer good support (which they did). All seemed to go rather well which was a first for me...
Bonus was losing about three tonnes of crud from inside the bumper which must be good for another 0.2 seconds off the 0-60 time!

While I was under the 955 changing the my oil, I took a quick peek at the serpentine belt. Looked pretty sketchy so jumped in and swapped it out. That thing is huge and really snakes around.
Change the O-rings on the vacuum pump today. This is a bit more painful than switching out the HPFP. I left some of my DNA on the firewall...lol the lil vacuum line was stuck on there pretty good, so just left it attached. old rings on left, new on right...

Nice job. That belt wasn't good. Good oil choice as well.
