Is your set updated in anyway? The failure was in the front strut . . .
I remember the recall for the front struts. I will know more once I have the coilovers in hand. But based on what I found on the web:

Porsche 996/997 Automotive Recall (ohlinsusa.com)

and cross referencing the part#'s from the bulletin to the Part # I purchased (POZMW10S1), I assume that they are the most current version available for our cars and thus, not affected by the previously failed part(s). I will share a boat load of pictures and part #'s for everything once I have them in hand.

I have been speaking with Alex@Sharkwerks about Ohlins.
There is a new part number (edit Xavier is all over it) and they now come with (IIRC) a new front top plate.
Ohlins is AAA+++ grade stuff - its the only way to fly on a motorcycle - so I am waiting with bated breath for more $$$ so I can get a set!!

Confirmed.. they now come with elephant racing front camber plates!!! New updated part numbers for the front shocks have also been uploaded here:

Also did not know they came fully disassembled. It was so fun putting them together. Big boy Legos.

Nice. And you're replacing more of the tan color with black in the process. Nice to see all the changes you're making.

Default Replacement Headlight Lenses

After 65K miles, my headlight lenses were beat up. Took a chance and purchased replacement lenses on ebay.

Not my DIY but worked well as a guide for separating the lens from the housing, which is the only challenge with this project. Did not paint my lights as shown in the DIY.
.
Have not seen this DIY posted, so here it is.

Did not take "before" pics with the headlights on the car. This lens was on the car for 65K miles. Note the thousand tiny nicks.

New replacement lens.

Chrome reflector disassembled from housing after removing two small screws. Rubber gasket attaches to housing and holds headlight assembly snug within fender when installed.

Forgot to snap pics while separating the lens from the housing, but it was a PITA. Second headlight was easier once I figured out a way to slice through the butyl seal around the entire perimeter of the lens. This is one of the original lenses after removal. The black stuff along the edge is what's left of the butyl after slicing through it when separating from the housing.

Housing with original rubber butyl removed by cutting out the butyl with a razor, then scraping out the grove with a flat blade screwdriver.

Butyl that came with replacement lenses.

One side done.

Turned out better than expected. Took about three hours with one hour plus spent removing the original butyl. Headlights look new.

Well done! We used (OEM Mercedes) windshield sealer to repair the headlamp on our old 957 Turbo. Just ran a new bead around the exterior of the original seal. Save from having to disassemble the lamp.

Both are good methods. NEVER use silicone! The silicone off-gas will attack the chrome reflectors inside the lamp.

My first contribution here and also to the 911, baby seat for the mini me to join along. He's my biggest fan and makes this journey so much sweeter!

Getting stocked up for my winter project. Yellow seatbelts are on order. Swapping out all the red for Speed Yellow.

On with the pics of the 997Turbo’s garage transformation:

It’s now a fully functioning automotive workshop, somewhat of a functioning mancave, absolutely not a functioning gym. I guess we all have to make sacrifices 😭
I'm officially jealous of your garage! Wish I had that much room in mine! I barely have room to walk in front of my car when its in there, its just barely wide enough for 2 small cars! Very nice setup!
