DSC will smooth it out, think of it as a smarter brain for your PASM. It reads and react mili seconds faster than stock module and it will control your shocks independently. Your car will still feel tight but not rough.

Today i finally got it registred. Quite rear spec (I beleive) 2011 Turbo S. White with only one option code ticked of; «Heated seats». That means no sunroof. Turbo S is quite good spec stock, so I dont miss anything. Japanese spec cars are unfortunatley without PCM from factory so I have installed an Alpine player with Apple Carplay. Would have preferred a Porsche Classic Radio. Only 64.000 km and in very good condition. My first 997, so looking forward to learn that platform. Of previos Porsche sportscars I have owned 991.2 Carrera S, 718 Cayman and 1987 3.2 G50 in addition to the 993 Turbo «Ruf» in my avatar that co own with a friend.

Picture is from before it left Japan.

My build continues! I was part of the Apex wheels group buy for centerlock wheels! Well, I had them put on today with new rubber. I absolutely love the setup. The wheels are 19X9 front and 19X12 rear and I'm running 245/35/19s front tires, 325/30/19s rear tires, and Eibach springs.

Ran new electrical for two wall outlets, Wi-Fi smart light switch, recessed lights and T5 4500k LED light strips.

After moving the toolbox out of the way to hang the TV, I realized it was in need of a serious rehab. The garage is pretty small, but I’m able to work out of it when I need to. I also have a fold out workout cage on one wall, and I also hang out in there a lot with friends & neighbors. So it needs to function as a workshop, gym, and mancave. The philosophy of the build is to be able quickly move things around to transform it into the space I need to use it for.

Anyway, on with the pics.

The Sunday afternoon project:

997 Turbo is happy with its new pad

Wall cabinets for the far corner are on order. Ugly fridge is being replaced with a newer smaller unit to maximize the space. Currently debating on what to do with the floor. I fear that my desire for a bendpak flush mount scissor lift is going to lead me to demo’ing the floor and pouring a new slab. But… we’ll see.
Bit of an update on this project that sort of…. Snowballed.

-New concrete slab
-New concrete driveway
-Polished concrete for the garage
-MaxJax two post lift
-Custom length lines for MaxJax (still working on this)
-Snap-On KRL1022B
-NewAge wall cabinets
-NewAge 48” locker
-HUSKY folding 72” workbench
-MagicChef compact refrigerator
-SONY 55” smart TV
-SONY sound bar and subwoofer
-IKEA floating wall cabinet
-OHD insulated garage door with roofline track and wifi operator
-New drywall and paint

*still left to do:
-Finish out ceiling, remaining walls and paint.
-Lighting, Lighting, Lighting.
-Air compressor, filter, moisture separation system, delivery and drop reel.
-Computer station above workbench.

*I WOULD like some sort of
ObsessedGarage-esque car wash system… but I’m not a car wash or detailer guy so don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on one. Anyone build a budget system similar to what OG has? With the de-ionizer and everything?

On with the pics of the 997Turbo’s garage transformation:

It’s now a fully functioning automotive workshop, somewhat of a functioning mancave, absolutely not a functioning gym. I guess we all have to make sacrifices 😭

Holy moly that was a project! Looks good though! LMK when you're coming out to Katie's next. My TTS is all up and running, and I sold the M3 recently. Just have some interior changes to make.

Excellent attention to detail in the garage. It looks more like a part of the home than a garage. I dream of having my car(s) in my living room of the house.

I'm now starting on my interior project. I've already got new door sills, a Turbo S center console cover, and ash tray cover. I'm wanting to get rid of the deviated Guards Red as it's not going with my theme, so the seat belts and chrono have to go. Can't find a yellow chrono so I went with a black one for now.

Thats the best picture of the lot! Congrats mate - looks like a fantastic space (and you can do your weekend cash jobs as well) !
I am sooooooo jealous of the lift - i am regretting not making my space a little taller so that i can fit one in and another car in.... I am thinking of moving one of the P-cars along to make space....
Enjoy it in good health!

On Sunday afternoon, I began taking apart my front suspension to rebuild the front shocks with new spring insulators (one had torn) and suspect that it was causing a noise when turning lock-to-lock. Upon removal, I realized that I did not want to put the factory suspension back on, so I was in a mad dash to find coilovers that were in stock. I managed to snag one of the last sets of OHLINS in the country and they are being delivered today. I took the time Monday and yesterday to install new front diff axle seals (right side was leaking) and remove the rear suspension completely in prep for the OHLINS. I also had my buddy come by with his PIWIS to code out PASM. Fun times.

Techno Wizardry

I'm really loving the new garage setup as well.

Well done, I wanted the Ohlins but they were discontinued for the 997 TT

Is your set updated in anyway? The failure was in the front strut . . .
