upgraded the alpine unit with a better, more modern kenwood unit. the alpine was one of the very first wireless carplay units on the market and that was pretty much all it had. this unit adds hd radio, wireless android auto, and some other features.

also had a custom subwoofer box for one JL audio shallow mount 10 installed to take the place of the factory bose subwoofer, which i hated. infotainment seems well sorted now, i think i am done there.

kenwood DMX907S

JL audio 10TW3

Mine is the inverse of yours . I have CF trim around the horn area and have silver where you put the CF trim.

Also - no headunit?

Oh cool. From where did you get the CF horn trim? haha I didn't like the factory headunit (sitting on a shelf in the garage currently) and couldn't decide on which aftermarket direction to go, so the shelf is an interim solution

That looks really nice. (Damn, do I have to get new exhaust tips?) I would love to see a straight on rear end perspective of the whole car, a callipygian view, as it were (thank you for that apt terminology @solts).

I am half way through my install as well! Same
headunit. Powered it up and it works great. But I also decided to paint the center-stack black while I am at it, so now I’m waiting to get it back from Eric at BumperPlugs.

Nice man, it’s a great head unit. Looking forward to pics of it all finished!
