I ran a battery charge lead into the frunk. I don't like the idea of maintaining the battery through the interior of the car. I actually prefer to pop the hood to maintain the battery. My car is not a daily so it is on the maintainer a bit. Plus I like the idea of the hood already being popped just in case the battery goes flat. Up to this point I had to remove the battery cover and reach over and connect clamps, etc. So, I ran a lead from the battery through the wall (drilled hole and added grommet) and into that little compartment on the left. Now, I have easy access to the connector and I can just stow it away when not in use.
