Lesson is that you can't believe everything you read on the interwebs

This was your car ... https://**********/lctr/726236

You will love the sound of the exhaust on the GT3...I have a cargraphic on my 964 Turbo, but it is still a "turbo"...
Less than a year ago I bought a 1,000 miles 2011 GT3RS.
I would buy the 997.2GT3 or RS if I were you. You can buy a wrench for CL and move on, no big deal...your next other Porsche is probably going to be a CL.
I think that you would love PCCB IMO. Exhaust is a must.
I'd recommend an RS versus a GT3, but that is up to you.
I have 3 of these 997GTs now, and 10 years on 5 997's now. PM if you have any Q's.

Thanks Igooz. I knew (& have seen) you over here on the GT3 forum & as a owner too, and have been lurking for 1/2 yr now, learning as much as I can, before starting to chime in & post. Thanks for writing.

I concur with all your thoughts (love the comment on "soul" which is why I'm here),.. and would love to jump straight up to the RS pinnacle,.. but will probably ease my way in. Besides my wife is the styling part of our equation, and doesn't prefer the more race-styling in the RS with metal uprights, typically colored rims, etc. Plus we will probably be about 75% mtn twisty driving, and 25% DE & guest track events. She & I will also need the sofa's over LWBS (she even loves heated seats in the summer time go figure). 7.2 is probably where we will land, if not for anything other than needing front axle lift to get in/out of our driveway.

Oh, and NO, we will NOT be selling the 964 Turbo. That thing will be in our family for generations. GT3 will be another addition. Once I get closer to pulling the trigger, I'll probably create my own new thread & ask for direct assistance.

Favorite color is Cobalt Blue, and seems finding a 7.2 in that color is like a needle in haystack,... and the .1 Cobalt's currently FS from the Indy's have a bad rap these days (yes I have the VIN's not to go near ;-)

Anyway,... thanks for ALL the content the entire RL crew here post up. It's very valuable to the rest of us who are just trying to figure out how to make the most fun out of this obsession of ours.

Didn't see it posted here but the BBI GT3 Street Cup build is up for sale by what looks like a private party. (not sure if this has been for sale since BBI built it though).

.
Mileage says 600 but I have to imagine that's on the rebuilt engine and not the chassis. Anyone know the chassis mileage?

Maybe this car has been discussed here already but does anyone know the story on this one?

Original owner is on RL. I might be getting my cars confused, but I believe he did Euro delivery. Car has also been tracked from what I recall. Do a search and you should be able to find the thread.

I remember seeing this car too, think it was in the general for sale forum at one point.

On another note, I would love to see the look on the Kia salesperson's face when they get the enthusiast GT car buyer asking the normal GT car questions.

'I don't know anything about welded coolant pipes or TPS reports (or DME you say it was?) but it's got ice cold A/C and power windows.'

Edit: Here is the previous for sale thread:

I have actually been chatting with a person in sales there and they seem to know a bit more then I initially thought.

Thank you for the info!

That's good to hear, and probably more than can be said about many P dealerships, sadly!

Thanks Rambler, for posting that previous FS ad from TDM on that car 3065,... it prompted me to read the entire "Euor Delivery" thread he built back in 2009. WOW, that is one fantastic thread.... one of the BEST for sure.

The coolest part was getting to his post # 206, where Buttons123 did a comparison of 7.1 MKI to 7.2 MKII comparison. That is exactly what I was looking for.

If you've never read through it,... it is a must read..... great pics, and clearly a unique connection of Rennlisters over at the Ring.

Yeah, it's TeamDrugMoney but unfortunately, his PM has been maxed out and he hasn't been active here in a while.

I've been talking about Maren Hodgins at Kia as well. 111K is what they paid so they are trying not to deviate too far from that price. They don't have stock intake when I asked about it.

There are also four Riviera Blue GT3s if you want to open up your search to that color.

Contact me if you'd like to retain my services to scare up a car.
I have one of the four Riviera Blue 997.2 GT3... w PCCB and LWB and many more great options.. in fact this car had an MSRP equal to my 997.2 RS

Thanks for the info. Every now and then I find a kink in my database - for some reason I had this car listed as Maritime blue. Corrected and updated!
