If you already have one then there's nothing to be afraid of. The higher, the better, lol.

There's this thing called "greed" which so far I haven't felt yet. Don't care to experience it either. LOL

Those prices aren’t crazy for recent sales. However, I’m always dubious of Craigslist sales.

There's also this thing called the free market. Willing participants on both sides will decide what the true value of something is. There's just as many cheap-***, tire kicking buyers as there are greedy sellers.
We're not talking about bread and water here. No one is getting hurt. These are luxury items for the fortunate segment of the population that can afford them.

Totally. Virtually no reason I can think of for a savvy GT3 owner to use freaking Craigslist. You're not parting with an old couch . . .

dreams can get hurt too

And for every father who's sad his son can't afford an aircooled there's a father who's happy he can sell his air cooled and pay for a few years of his son's school. I don't disagree with anything you're saying or downplaying the pain of crushed car dreams; been there myself many times. I'm just pointing out that there are always two sides to the equation. The money can mean as much to the seller as it does to the buyer. Not all buyers are poor, and not all sellers are rich.

Craigslist is actually great for buying and selling cars now that you have to pay to list. Sure, you still get some scam texts but those are easy to spot. You know where is a complete joke, Facebook marketplace.

Well, I thought that also and listed my 2015 Audi Q7 sport edition on the forums without any serious buyers. Most chimed in with a million questions. Time came to really get it moved and I said, "WTF" let's just pay $5 and throw it up on Craigslist. I got so many calls and the car sold to the first caller for asking price, no negotiations at all and he brought a pile of cash to the house, a bottle of Japanese whisky and a nice Audi Keychain for a gift for my wife for the new Etron we were picking up.

Being craigslist naysayer forever, I actually have to change that perspective because I've bought and sold more on that crappy site than anywhere else I can thing of.
