The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...
snaveed swooping in. here we go
I have to admit I was rooting for Jimmejak but snaveed got cojones and lots of $$$. Not a crazy price considering the condition and this crazy market but getting into crazy territory
the 997 gt3 market has been ruined by one guy. I am sorry this is ridiculous. And to top that, we will never see 5-6 of these cars (probably more since there will be others posted on BaT/PCAR) in the states again. I'll be honest I'm pretty pissed; as an owner this makes me more anxious about mine because it's value is through the roof now. I did not buy it with any intention of it being an investment. It has kind of ruined it for me which I never expected when I picked it up. Real shame that most people financially like me will not be able to get in one now. Sorry I don't mean to rant but this has been on my mind for a bit now.

I do fully agree that it's a huge loss if all these cars are going overseas. That means the likelihood of prices ever returning to more sane levels is very low since the supply is only getting smaller.

It's not one guy. He's not bidding against himself. On all these sales, there were 2 or three other people bidding within a few thousand dollars of the final price and at least one other person within $1k.

It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the other bidders in the room were Shill, already owning these cars and just playing the game to inflate their value and their own confirmation biases.
That’s a bargain in my book.
The price difference between a 2k mile .1 RS and a 22k mile example is $100k+! Now that is mileage sensitive, which is a bummer.

snaveed has spent $2,736,000 on 16 cars (minus the bikes) since 6/13/21 on BaT.

You guys should feel lucky that these days it's super hard to register 997 gt cars in mainland china, other wise be prepared to see price goes to 400-500k easy.
