Yea I still trip out on the 996 GT3 for $198k w/ fees. Guess all it takes is two buyers. I really was hoping the buyer would show himself here but no mas.

A similar car with none of that was at South Bay Porsche and it obviousely had been tracked quite a bit. I forget if it was $140 or $150. Even at $140k not as nice. No PCCB They could have gotten $150k for it. Any of the other .2s selling lately were not nearly as nice.

Hope the new owner doesn't mind me bragging and showing the beauty of his car!

@samwise and @Bxstr are correct on Xpel. On my car I did the whole rear bumper, front hood and fenders, and rocker panels along the bottom. And enlarge the factory piece in front of the rear wheels. Mirrors. My guy always puts it inside the door handle area in case you ever date a girl with Lee Nails. I have carbon fiber door jambs to be covered that too. California mountains will cause a lot of damage quick. I like to use my stuff and it's emotionally freeing to not sweat that stuff.
@Upscale Audio , @samwise , @Bxstr , Took your advice re Xpel coverage, and in addition to the complete front end done, am having the sills, rear quarter in front of the wheel arch (enlarged coverage in place of factory piece), and the lower part of the rear bumper below the feature line done before collection. I also took a punt on a few items because of the CPO (one of which was the lack of DME report available at the time), and I'l admit it, I felt the pressure of a couple of people queueing up behind me for the car. Anyway, just got the DME report from Porsche Stevens Creek, and shows zero over revs in any range, so good outcome that matches the rest of the CPO report. Thank you prior owner of WP0AC2A93AS783292, if you're on Rennlist and see this, I'd love to buy you a beer or two! (and hopefully have you enlighten me as to how you kept a 17k mi car as pristine as the day it rolled out of the showroom. I generally don't like the process of buying a used car, as I find it hard work to really determine how genuine/truthful a seller is, but I honestly have to say that the guy I dealt with at PSC, James Shin, could not have been better - super knowledgeable, came across to me as the most genuine guy I've ever bought a car from (privately or dealership), and a very passionate 911 owner himself (old and new). Never met him before this purchase, but I would not hesitate dealing with him again.

I was the buyer and actually backed out. Ownership was iffy and not represented properly.

https://www.countryautoblair.com/inv...che/911/p2158/

The cons I see:
No manual/service records(although they are on carfax)
One key
Various owners

Pros:
seemingly rare-ish spec
FVD exhaust
nose lift actually still works really well (good thing too because the bottom spoiler is painted from factory)
lowish miles
clean dme with only range 1 and a long time ago
So you're the one that beat me to it. I was on the phone with them the same day.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t trust any of the sales on PcarMarket. Too many suspect interactions/conversations with them for me to consider them reliable or trustworthy.

These are the type of sales that make me feel good, we are getting to a point where you can drive your car and enjoy it (without that nagging guilty feeling of wasting money) as time goes on, milage will not be the curse it once was.

White/Red .2 RS with 9600 miles. Steel brakes, full leather, GMG Center Section Exhaust, GMG Roll-Bar, 5-point harnesses, and clean DME. $145k original MSRP. Asking price is $235k.

The CarFax apparently shows that the car has had damage to the front during the previous owner's time with the car. Some debris from the road kicked up onto the front of the car and since had it repaired.

But lack thereof, might bring a premium.

This car's MSRP is actually a few thousand less than my .1. I thought the .2's were all over 160k. Wonder what the delta was between them.

Many were in the 140-50s. An outlier in Birch Green with lots of stitching and retro decals was around 190, sold out of Dan Diego dealership.

This white/red looks like a good car. Sure glad I got my white/red with 9600 miles when I did, a little over a year ago at the beginning of COVID. PCCB, full PPF, factory red cage, and yes AC delete. At price reminiscent of this car listing but…one critical digit different!

I could care less about miles. I buy my cars to use and enjoy. I don't buy them to save it for the next owner or to keep them as a museum piece. Drive them......life is too short.....these cars need to be driven.

Has no wart! Love this spec! But I would put pedals to stock ($400-600, depending if need footrest as well). Add back original decals (checkers; $1,000). Swap the white center console to stock black ($900). GMG bypass and cage are nice! So long as comes with stock center section with car. Have dealer do the above and a service to ensure fluids are fresh; maybe push for new tires if older. And if they CPO it; that is even better!!

i agree. i saw a 2011 GT2RS with 800 miles. How is that even possible? 10 yrs only 80 miles a year??? what a waste. sure the owner made $100k over that time; but they could have done the same or more just investing the $ in the market, etc. instead they bought one of the best drivers cars to not drive it. mind boggling really. but to each their own i guess.

I'm sure they'll be plenty of folks on their death bed saying how much they enjoyed collecting cars and not driving them (sarcasm).

That's why every now and then you see these huge collections come up for sale cause they probably regret not driving these things. Life is freaking short - enjoy them while we're here, can't take them with us.
