my wife still says I cant have two 997's if I buy another one to track because she hates the ride for touring, but she likes the R8 comfort. So I'm bidding on both... but that means the .2 will be up on BAT as soon as I find the right one.
I tried "stop thinking about the car as a car and think about it as an investment and I'll put it in the shop and we'll forget about it"... that didn't work.

Merit Partners have a couple .2 RS’.
White/Red .2 RS with 14k miles. Steel brakes and full leather with deviated red stitching on seats and the top of the dash but silver stitching on the rest of the interior. $140k original MSRP. No asking price listed yet. Has aftermarket upgraded rotors and a GMG roll bar with Schroth harnesses, and maybe still has EVOMS headers so I assume this car has been used as a track car in the past.
Current listing:

White/Gold .2 RS with 38k miles. PCCB, FAL, and full leather. $154k original MSRP. No asking price listed. Merit Partners has had this car a couple times in their inventory. I remember they had this car for sale when I bought my .2 RS a year and a half ago and was listed at $140k. Car also has a roll bar with Schroth harnesses and it used to have a giant Audison audio system with a sub woofer in the back behind the seats.

I inquired about the white/gold (WP0AC2A90AS783752) and he said they put the factory stereo back in, fixed up the front lip (assuming a respray since it's painted), replaced the door sills, reupholstered the steering wheel and a few other interior bits. No mention of brakes/tires being replaced but it did go through the standard fluids change as well. Said the car came from a "very large collector of rare low mileage porsches in the Lake Tahoe / NorCal area. He has three '73 RS's, a bunch of GT3's, a CGT, etc." Merit sold the car for that owner on consignment to someone in NC who had it for a couple years and only put a few thousand miles on...and subsequently sold it back to Merit who is now has it for sale. Just sharing some deets for anyone in case it's helpful!

Done and done. Sold to me Hoping PPI / DME pull tomorrow isn't a total disaster. Carfax shows as a 1-owner originally purchased in Katy, TX (where the car is now) and serviced there it's entire life. Sales guy I'm working with says the owner is a banker who used the car for the track and just traded it in for a 991.2 GT3. Are we sure this was a press car?

Nice! Lets go for a drive when you get it back to OC. If I didn't have one already, I would have bought this one.
Working for many big name manufacturers in the past - I can say mostly the cars are very well maintained early on in their life and inspected often.

Did you get a chance to sit in it... might rev it a bit and see if anyone has done any work to the flywheel (you could post a vid here and we could tell you)... in which case they probably did the clutch?
Congrats!
PS. PM me if you decide you don't want it!
