Good luck getting an actual number out of him that buys it.

My record is 690 miles without a bathroom break. Actually without coming to a complete stop at all. It takes practice, and a VW TDi.

Wait I would have thought it would be longer with your past conquests in "enthusiast long-distance driving". I guess time-wise at those speeds 690 miles isn't that long

That one was really well spec'd. Probably one of the best ones I've seen! Heck of a price though!

Im curious what people think about mileage between collector vs driver. If users here are more collector type. At what mileage mark would you consider the car a driver? 10k? 12k? 15k? 7.5k?

For myself as a non-collector I see roughly 10k miles as the transition point between collector car vs driver car for a 7.2 RS. But interested to hear others opinions.

For me it depends on year. A car seeing 500 miles a year or less is probably in the collector category for me. So on a 10 year old 7.2RS, 5k or so. But really I'd even consider a car with 7.5-10k as a potential collector example.

On a 7.1RS, that number could be 10k miles, since they're older cars. But I'm sure the actual collectors out there looking for a 7.1RS to put in their garage and never drive do not care about the year, they'd want a sub 10k mile example no matter what, even on a 20-30 year old car.

As a disclaimer, I'm not a collector, I have the GT3 as my one special car and typically will put 1-2k miles a year on mine (we have winter here and it's a backroads only car for me). But I know some would think with my "limited mileage" I am in that category.

Is that the original steering wheel? If you opted for leather wheel, you lose the center stripe?

Am I the only one that thinks the older the car gets, the less I care about the "spec"? I just want the car for the engine, chassis, size, etc. it was back then....

I could care less what options a 997.2 3rs or 993 turbo has, they all hav the same engine, chassis, gearbox, etc. I just want one to floor around and drive like a mad man street or track. Condition and miles is really all I would care about.

This car has the optional leather steering wheel. If you spec this on an RS, you lose the center marker. I have seen some cars with the center marker added back on a leather wheel as a CXX option.
