gorgeous example that has some paintwork. May or may not be a deal breaker.
Do you know what has been painted. Just curious. For most, a plastic bumper is one thing, but metal panels may be another. Not that I’m surprised it has paint work, but sort of am given the low mileage and otherwise clean condition the car appears to be in. 2 owner car with the most recent owner owning since 2011, so I would hope if it was done under the prior owner, there are records of the work.
2008 GT3. 35k miles. Holt doesn't post VINs of their cars, so I have no idea what that is. Does appear to be Arctic Silver and not GT Silver. Perfect mileage for someone that wants to put 3-5k miles a year on it.

Driverside quarter panel for sure but reach out to the seller if you're interested. He's been open and honest and will let you know what was done and why.
Guards red .1 GT3 with PCCB’s, full leather with red deviated stitching, and low miles. Price seems pretty attractive, but I don’t love the wheels and a little too much painted interior trim for my taste. But seems like a nice car overall. https://www.classiccarsofsarasota.co...8-porsche-gt-3

I'm interested however there was a little drama about this car on here back in March resulting in a buyer beware tread being created. I noticed the derogatory review account was only created and active during the time the review was left. I'm NOT looking to dig any of that up. I'm trying to determine if this now creates/adds to this as a story car and could it plague me down the road?
I spoke with the dealer today. Of coarse they denies all allegations made by the review, saying they inspected the car and that no panels were removed/ replaced and that the car in in excellent condition. They did say that the back bumper cover WAS re-pained due to stone chips from prior track use. I realize I can (and will) have the car inspected to reach my own conclusion about the condition of this car. I'm just concerned that this now has a documented story...will this bite me in the *** if I were to try and sell it one day? What do you guys think? Should I just walk?
IMO If it is a car worth purchasing it's currently considerably over priced at 162k, especially since the previous owner couldn't move it when it was priced at 139k.

That car is priced really well. Agree that I would prefer stock wheels, but $3k later and you can have those and I also would prefer stock taillights. But other than that, really nice example. Wouldn’t let any of that prevent me from buying if everything else checked out. Was trying to look at rotor condition from pics. Hard to tell. Definitely not 1/3 guards red cars though. There’s 66 997.1 GT3 in guards.

I saw this car in person two weeks ago. Looked great from ten feet away. PO traded that and a low mile GT2 for lizard RS. For the miles price seems in the ballpark. The for sale thread is public and might cause problems later. If your looking for a car to drive and enjoy, not much better than a 3.8 RS.

I would just walk. There is a documented story of this car on this forum and it seems like too much of a risk especially at that price. There will be other cleaner .2 RS’s that come up for similar money eventually and IMO this car is not worth the risk unless it is very cheap like in the $120k’s or less. Even if the car was clean, with this cars mileage, options, and the fact that it is not a US spec car makes it not worth their asking price. Just my opinion.

I think they were inferring 3 guards red cars for 2008. But the .1 GT3 is exactly the same for 2007 and 2008. I don’t love the 997.2 LED taillights that some people do on their 997.1. Doesn’t look right to me on the 997.1’s more squared off taillights. The wheels that the car had when it was listed on pelicanparts IMO are hideous.
The above GB RS spent a lot of time at Porsche of CO Springs. Shawn over there was very transparent and I believe it was even less in the 120’s when people wanted RS’. It led a tough life. Passed after multiple calls from them over the period.
