You’ll get an airbag light due to lack of passenger occupancy sensor, but there’s a fairly straightforward workaround if the light bothers. I’ve learned to live with it, as it complements my 02 sensor CEL nicely . . .

For those shopping for a car -- sport seats are very underrated for a standard seat. Much better than other OEM seats....sporty and bolstered....the term sofas does not really apply.
Just my $.02

While I think we can all agree that seat choice is highly personal, I definitely think the buckets raise the feel of the car to a different level.

My first 997.2 GT3 came with base seats. They were just fine for everything but the track and at the time, I was tracking a lot. I sourced a set of LWB's for $4K from an RS owner (ahhh...those were the days!!) and swapped them in. I immediately noticed how much less connected the car felt with the standard seats and how much more I was feeling through that much lighter, much more stiff shell with lesser padding. I definitely prefer the feel of a 997/991 with buckets over standard or sports seats. Any GT car I buy will always have them.

Fully agree. If you're seats aren't holding you in place, then your arms and legs are, and if your arms and legs are holding you in place, they can't give their all to steering, acceleration and braking inputs. Buckets release your appendages to do their job to their fullest.

Since talking buckets and saw it mentioned. My favorite factory seats. Comfy and hold you well. So had to throw a set in the 997gt3. I’ve always ran sofas as buckets always bothered my back, especially PP. I love these.

So how did it work out with plugging in and airbag sensors? Looks great.

I feel like I have to do this… I’ll use the excuse the LWBS are $20k and I need to keep them in a ziplock bag with my PCCB

what did these run you if you don't mind me asking? The 991 buckets have gone up too now that they're discontinued.

Agreed. Very nice spec. Maybe cause it’s missing PCCB? Seems like Doug always prices his cars fairly right out of the gate rather than asking some pie in the sky number and then negotiating down 10 or 20%.
