Not a collectable but a great driver's .2 GT3 here. Buyer got a well optioned car at a good price.
Sounds about right. Nicely bought and sold, both sides should be happy

I never understood the notion that a collector car that's going to sit in a garage or museum needs to be low mileage. If it's in pretty condition and just gonna sit there for decades to be stared at, why give a flying f*&k how many miles are on it? I think a "retired" car with 400k miles on it is better suited for that. When looking at old museum race cars, how many do you think walk past it and say, wow, that GT40 is beautiful, just a shame that it was tracked and has over 12k miles on it? Honey, put the camera away for that one.

Collectible and classic are not the same thing
There are $100k long hood 911Ss with 140k miles.
mileage and collectible are not mutually exclusive... also different types of collectible... ones with history or cool story usually immune to mileage...or at least offset. no history but bubble-car, dealer-lot mileage is another kind.. higher production numbers? mileage matters.. lower production numbers? mileage matters less.... newer car? mileage matters. older car? mileage matters less. horses for courses.

Agree on what drives value/price, but my point is why does mileage matter at all in terms of being a garage queen or museum piece for a car that will never be driven. For example, "that car has too many miles to be a garage queen."

I love the 7.2RS so, so much. Best cars ever ((but only if you drive them)!

Vivian.
I agree with you Vivian

I concur; they're made to be driven and that's where I derive my enjoyment from them. My comments are made in reference to the asking price, nothing more.

For resale purposes. Because when that collector decides he can sell that super low mileage car for a nice profit, another collector just like him will want that same super low mileage car and will pay extra for it, so he can make a profit down the road.

Inbound 997.2 GT3 in Long Island. Beautiful spec if you can live without PCCBs and buckets.

If this car is accident and overrev free looks like a smart purchase. If i had any sense I would get this instead of a 2018 GT3 but unfortunately I don't.

Nice car. My brain has a hard time processing the leather seats, however. Was this an option? I don't think I've ever seen a .2 with full leather seats until now.

Looks like it per the build sheet, “seat inlays in standard leather.” I’ve never seen it either.
