If you don't have a PCA license but have credentials from other series, then you may be able to get in as a Provisional. Had some friends in the past try the 48 hours as their first race, and were denied.

yeh, I have given up on having anything to do with that event DE or CR.

I had a NASCAR license for many years - and used it - but I never have had any sports car type competition license.

1.- Eddie has higher chances to get in the PCA Sebring 48Hrs in 2013 than 2012
2.- I should sign up earlier in Fall 2012 to avoid being wait listed for 2013
3.- This thread has made the 48 Hours of Sebring event even more appealing and popular, humans tends to obsess with what they can't get.

If you think Jager is bad, wait until you try Absinthe, none of my victims have survived.

Eduardo, When I was CTI of Suncoast and we had a registrant to the 48 hour DE who's driving history was unknown to me I would first call the registrant to speak to him/her directly and let the registrant educate me on that experience. I would then, if necessary confirm that experience. It was and is my belief that if a region is hosting an event open to the whole of PCA then no special treatment should be allowed for anyone. I know Page and hope there was a honest mistake made. If it is of any value I for myself as simply a Suncoast member offer you an apology for any misunderstanding as I truely believe preseption is reality so we all need to do our best when communicating.

Rich,

thank you for your input. I believe it was an honest mistake a they are probably in a lot of hurry to fill up and also we know that they want to please their fellows also.
Maybe next year, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
I got a few PM's and some people have the same impression as I had, so basically I'm not alone. I think not because of me, but because a lot of people having the same kind of complaint, Suncoast should take some opinions and point of views in consideration in order to improve their management or events in general.

Wow - I must agree, I would just run with other Clubs/Organization. I've had a similar experience with a local BMW chapter (I've had BMWs for past 10 years, almost never less than 2 at a time) and got treated very poorly by the club. Finally got tired and decided to spend my time elsewhere. Frankly, no regrets, there are enough events and organizations out there to be able to do this.

What's sad is that Suncoast was a premier PCA region in the De and Club Race programs. I've held positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Competition Chair, and Board Member at Large and have seen things go downhill over the last few years in my opinion. Rich was a great CTI as was his predecessors. Communication now seems to be lacking, egos seem to have taking front stage, micro manageing of pretty much every thing. Is it the current group running these events, national, chaos due to 2 regions trying to run the same event, not sure, maybe it's just the sign of the the times!!! I just hope things improve and we can all enjoy safe, FUN, driving events and share our love for all things Porsche! Not blaming anyone, Just my opinion!
