Ooh, that's a spicy meatball there. Looks like the Carfax got updated after the BaT auction. The BaT description says the door was replaced after a parking lot incident, but no mention of the airbag.

While I'm sure everyone here knows about the many GT2RS in Europe for sale (3 for sale in Germany, 1 in Austria, 2 meh RHD in the UK) there are also some GT2s. There is a rumored (per IG) white GT2 available Switzerland 5 KM from me. I'm going to look at it tomorrow. I know nothing about the company. rodclassic.ch.

There’s this 12k-mile Carrara White GT2 in Canada (originally US spec car). At Porsche of London I think.

It's about time imo that the 997.1 GT2 started to climb. 997.1 GT3 prices are raging at the moment and 997.2 3RSs have solid sales numbers at ~2x msrp. I'd think hanging on to such a rare bird as the .1 GT2 would be a no brainer - No?

For those of us lucky enough to own them...we already know the truth. They are far greater than the sum of their parts, and rarer than even the mighty Carrera GT. I think our time in the sun will come, from a market perspective. It's already long overdue.

The only problem with this car is the mileage, for me it’s too low, this one belongs in a large collection preferably Porsche based collection, with minimal drive time and preservation, but we all know the GT2 is so fun to drive that it’s too bad this one will never see enough pavement to be enjoyed.

I think I remember reading an interview with Andreas Preuninger where he stated that when he and his team designed the GT2, they did so to ensure the car could handle speeds of 14mph, and maybe even as high as 20mph. Anything above that and the PCCBs would need to be replaced and warranty would be voided.

AP disavowed the 997.1 GT2 as not his. I believe the first GT2 under his development was the 997 GT2 RS.

Are you questioning the validity of my post?
Kidding, obviously.

Always glad to see a sense of humor.
As a GT2 owner, I was kind of surprised to learn that he did not develop it. His critique in the interview I saw was that it was not serious enough. It's a surprising comment because part of what I feel makes the car special is it's very broad range of capability. I think that it's one of the most broadly useable GT cars ever built.
