I think if we were to overlay the chart with some of the GT2's contemporary peers in terms of era and rarity, we would likely see considerably less of a recent dramatic uptick as some of those other models have seen.
Even at these values, seems GT2 is still very much an underdog / bargain in comparison.

I randomly watch old Top Gear sometimes and last night happened to be the episode that reviewed the GT2 with the Gallardo 560-4. It was very funny to me that the closing remark from Clarkson was: "The GT2 is just a squashed Beetle, but the Gallardo will probably go down in history as one of the prettiest cars of all time". Obviously it was a bit of hyperbole for the sake of the show. But, the GT2 has strong values and the Gallardo seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.
