8090 has sold for $366 ($361+$5k premium). Makes me wonder what Grand Prix was thinking setting their reserve somewhere above $402 on 6296 last month. They must have sold at least one privately with a 4 handle, so perhaps fair to say that 8090 was well bought. Congratulations to the new owner and many happy and enjoyable miles.
agree , insanity..i lived w 2009 for ~3 years, very enjoyable But many other cars I would consider at this price point
Not so sure this GT2 purchase is insanity since for 370k you can buy; 1) a low mileage prime example of 1 of a 1000 or so base 993 Turbos built (non S) or a 992 GT3 with a 200k window sticker that they will make 2,000 of. Both will set you back over 300k (Low mileage stick 997 Turbos are trading for GT2 prices which existed in 2017-2020).
Or today for 370k you can buy 1 of 200 or so 997.1 GT2's built. That said, I'd rather have the GT2 and I think the market on these GT2 is here to stay as the purchaser of a 370k garage queen generally isn't strapped for cash or affected by gas price increases.
Also, I think the 380 mile GT2 recently purchased by GP for 350k was a steal The seller picked the wrong venue. That car likely brings 420K plus on BAT.

Awesome and rare 2008 Porsche GT2 in GT Silver Metallic for sale. I am the second owner, have owned the car for about 1 year and put less than 1,000 miles on it. Original owner told me this was the only GT2 sold in Oregon and he had to pay $40,000 over sticker (MSRP was $215,400) for the privilege. Window sticker and Certificate of Authenticity. Incredible build with a lot of expensive leather trim. Original owner upgraded headers, clutch and shifter. I added several "personal touches" once I owned the car - upgraded/modern sound system (Kenwood Excelon with Sat Digital AV.), Escort 9500ci built in laser/radar system, clear bra (whole hood, fenders, mirrors), Clearplex (windshield), yellow seat belts, yellow face on sport chrono, OEM CF center console, OEM CF steering wheel, OEM CF door sills (GT2), OEM CF/Alcantara shifter, upgraded LED lighting throughout interior, TPC DSC, subwoofer and 500W JBL Amp. I'm sure I've forgotten something as well - too much to list. I have ALL original parts as well. Car never smoked in, never tracked. Michelins have less than 3,000 miles on them as well. This car needs absolutely NOTHING!
If I had any sense, I would keep this car as I'm confident it will have real value in the future. That said, my racing addiction needs to be fed and I would rather deploy capital towards that activity.
I just have to recognize @RapidGT again for letting me know about the white GT2 that was listed for sale last November. I am beyond grateful that you reached out to me and I was at the right place at the right time to buy it. This market is crazy!
I didn't spec mine, so I can't take the blame for that decision, but I suspect in my car's case it was because it has full carbon interior, and that was the only way to get a carbon steering wheel as well. Hindsight and all that, exterior color painted interior, with standard alcantara shift **** and steering wheel would have been the best decision.
That said, the CF steering wheel is so hard and thin that it actually has better road feel, IMO.
