Ah well. I ran it with side deletes all this time too. It sounds fantastic like that, but I was really itching to see what it would be like with sides.

I installed the Carnewal remote yesterday. It's SO quiet with valves closed.

I spent the morning in the mountains with mine. Side deletes with the OE back box and now EvoMS headers. It’s so loud on boil in the best way. Highway cruise is still very liveable, honestly about the same as it was with stock headers outside of the drone zone (2600-2800rpm). The headers have absolutely transformed the attitude of this car.

Does side delete + EvoMS increase drone?

I installed Carnewal remote on my fully stock exhaust, and am finding there is a bump in the drone some where around mid 2000s-ish revs. So I'm even considering removing the remote ... tough decisions ...

Amazing what a quick clay bar can do. Really made a huge difference on the fenders and sills

You added the bottom screens? I prefer the stock look but I guess these add some protection from rocks piercing your radiators? Is that the idea

i should have clarified which pic was pre vs post. bottom pic with the very proud screens were there when i purchased the car. they were removed and the rennline screens installed which sit further back giving the car a more OEM look. and yeah i guess the idea is to protect the radiators from road debris.

Phew! Good choice, those ‘proud’ screens would not fill me with pride 😝

drove the **** out of mine for 5 days (2 weeks ago) down in the Smokey Mtns at Drachen Fest. Man I love this car.

Only yesterday did I get a chance to pull it back out, wash it, and go for another local drive.

Question for the Guru's here.... Before I washed the car, I noticed what looked like a small stem from a leaf, lodged between my rear window glass, and that thin rubber coated seal that runs across the entire length (bottom of window, and the painted valance that holds the 3rd brake light). I grabbed a small thin wooden tooth pic & attempted to slide underneath the leaf stem, and pull it out, but once I lifted that rubber seal up a bit, the debris immediately fell under it.

Does anyone know where that cavity is in the car? .... If I even wanted to get that debris out, would I need to take the 3rd brake light assembly off the car to do it??

... something tells me that little leaf stem is in there for life ...

Yes, the only way you'd easily be able to access would be to remove the third brake light panel. Beneath the third brake light panel is part of the unfinished body in white that has a couple of holes in it for the bolts that hold the third brake light panel on. Looks something like this (random photo I found of a damaged Cup car):

If you do a lot of detailing and have an orbital, do your fingers a favor and snag one of these for your next major clean. 100x faster and more effective.

Yes, that stem is now one with the car.
