Doing an interior cleaning and restoration. Started with Alcantara steering wheel cleaning and sanding which yielded surprisingly good results. One thing I cannot find is the gray color code of the GT3 script hand brake - see pic below. I have some scratches I would like to touch up. Anybody know the color code or name of that gray?

Yeah that Yamaha is fast too-I've had 4 triples since High School, and the one I have I keep rebuilding it, they are now worth a lot of money. I have upgraded flat slide 34mm carbs, it is indeed crazy and dangerous wide open. Late at night on I-95 I do get it wide open, and those stingers are loud
It freaks people out, most don't understand, bewildered and confused when I ride up on it. I do have a friend with a '72 and when we ride it's double the insanity-years ago we managed to get 6 together and it was madness.
My crank was rebuilt by a guy named Charley who learned from a very well known retired helicopter mechanic in Alabama who did triple cranks and kept him busy until he passed. He had the jig and press, it's not an easy task to do right. Seals and bearings, rods readily available. I put all new bearings on the gearbox and it was not easy to source but I got them from various places. So I figure it'll last a few decades...
This guy in England, Allen Millyard is incredible, he cuts cases with a hand saw, adds a cylinder to make a 4 cylinder Kawasaki 1000 two-stroke, and has made a 5 cylinder version too, a 6 Cylinder Z1 4 stoke, and I think a 12 cylinder taking 2 KZ 1300 sixes and making a V -12, in his garage!

Yes, I saw one at the 2 Stroke Extravaganza last October. I can only imagine how hot those two inner cylinders get as the triples were famous for the center getting hot. I had a 1974 H1 500 and sold it for $1,800. So Stupid, but I just didn't have the space to keep it.
I also have two Daytona's. Great bikes also.

The Volcano gray touch up paint is likely the actual paint color that is used on some newer Porsche’s. To my knowledge they don’t sell the actual trim touch up paint. So you’d likely need to get something custom made like the person did in the post I linked. Just a heads up.

The blue bike's 4 cylinder conversion has the center pipes too close compared to the gold bike-with my triples I've never had overheating problems with the center cylinder.
Yamaha's TZ racing bikes were unbelievable- by the 90s, they switched from a traverse twin like the street RDs to a twin crankshaft V twin, and the power to weight ration was absolutely nuts. You can see how fast a 250 is, running with big 4 strokes and even 500s-years ago I rode a TZ 250 and it was insane
*Edit-the 500s also went from inline to either a square four with two crankshafts or V4 with twin crankshafts.
I'm not aware of any car engines with twin cranks-

Oil change today. Been putting off for a few weeks but it was a beautiful 80 degrees in Houston today and soon it'll be oppressively hot here. Got one of the 'kits' from FCP Euro. Filter, both O-rings, both crush washers and 9 quarts of oil. Wasn't thrilled about the LiquiMoly, but I usually change oil due to time and not mileage. It'll be fine until the next go around.
Getting that last little bit out of the filter housing
Wrench slipped. I'm admitting myself to hospice right now
Also had a nice visit from @Elliotw44 today all the way from Seattle while I was plugging away at this. Thanks for the funnel assist, Elliot!

Never done a Blackstone analysis, but like @Wonderdan , I'll probably go back to Mobil 1 5W-40.
And BTW, if y'all don't have one of these, you need to get one. Will save yourself from a deep fried hand from the scalding oil

Been waiting since November due to winter break but now the following is being done as prep for the season (not by myself unfortunately - no skill/time):
Have a great weekend everyone
- Wheel/axle alignment/adjustment
- Change of all fluids (Oil, Transmission, Brakes)
- New brake cylinders all around (old ones are done/burned; the yellow/black things that push the pads outwards)
- New pads all around (Pagid Yellow)
- Steel braided lines all around
- Check of all critical items for track usage such as drive shafts, tubes, bearings,...
- Re-instal of after market muffler (saves some 18 KGs - had it initially but then changed to the original a year ago)
- Few other bits and pieces here and there depending on what the workshop finds
- Detailing inside/outside (white rims (un)fortunately, will never get them back to properly shiny again)
Have a great weekend everyone
