I think Doug H is saying "proceed with caution". The car is listed on Craigslist in Oregon, but the plates are from Tennessee. It could be legit, but it could also be a classic CL scam.

I think someone just tried to scam me on a 997.2 cab listing on cars.com I was going to buy for the wife to drive over the summer. Will know more in a couple of hours. It was a white 2010. Guy did not take it for inspection this morning, did not send picture of title and stopped responding to both of us when I told him I would fly up to deliver check and take title and possibly car back with me.

Don't see currently registration but records show original owner lived in Tennessee at the time of purchase.

Could be as harmless as a lazy seller re-using old photos. Or semi-fishy such as using old photos because the car isn't that pretty anymore.

Not sure what the price is but it's a cool color that you don't see often at all, especially on manual turbo coupes.

Looking to buy a 2009-2010 997.2 C2S or C4S Cab, manual transmission, as a daily driver, hopefully less than 45K miles. Not in a hurry but actively looking so I would appreciate any leads. It took me a year to find, but I bought a nice, clean, metallic gray '09 C4S Cab, sport chrono, 6MT, with 28K in Feb '17 from an individual in L.A. If you don't mind black or silver, they are available; colors are harder to find.

Congrats on yours. It is a difficult time as they are getting snapped up quickly this time of year. It may take until fall or winter. I'm ok with black or silver. I'm hoping to find someone that was going to trade in and doesn't want to take the lowball dealer offer.
