Did you get the FF from the Denver dealer? Pics, please. Love that car.

I'm buying an off-market car private party. It's actually from someone I had talked to about 8 months ago when I was having issues with the CPO FF that I bought from the San Antonio dealer with undisclosed damage, they eventually bought the car back. He texts me out of the blue three days ago asking if I was interested in buying his car since he just ordered an F8. IMO this thing has a perfect build and he has all of the right goodies (full Kline exhaust, tune including flap regulation on manettino switch, Novitec springs, added CF steering wheel, etc). Agreed on price same day and doing PPI next week, so hopefully will be in my garage in a couple weeks. Apparently this is also the only Ferrari ever made in this color, which is pretty cool. Not just the only FF, but the only Ferrari....don't know how accurate that is but I googled and couldn't find an example of any other ones. I am really considering just keeping the 997 too though, love the car and feel like I will regret selling it. The 997 being under warranty means little to no ownership costs for me too.

The FF is such a unique/awesome all around car and you really can drive it every day. The sound with an aftermarket full exhaust is unbelievable in person, videos can't come close to conveying how incredible the sound is, even with all of that sound insulation and the double thick windows.

Here's a few pics, first two with current set of wheels but he's including the other set too:

@dgoldenz Love that. Going from an FF to an F8 is quite a change for him. Do they have a name for the color or is it just PTS? FF design may not be for everybody but it hit all the notes for me. Drive it in good health and drive it! It's not a show piece.

He also has a 355, G wagon, and CL65, not a bad stable. The color is Grigio Freddo, here's a little better picture that shows the pearl. It's very similar to Bianco Italia and Bianco Fuji, I can't even tell the difference really. Doesn't look like a shade of grey at all to me but that's what's called, maybe sort of like a pearl version of Audi's Suzuka Grey is about the best comparison I can think of. Just an incredible all around car to drive, I personally think it's one of the best looking and coolest cars ever made, and that sound...

It has 38k miles on it which is high but the price was right and LaSalle is willing to warranty the car bumper to bumper even with the tune and exhaust on it which I found surprising. Planning on driving it in the 600 miles back home after picking it up.

Did you guys see this one?

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-cabriolet-18/

This is totally Whiskey Tango Foxtrot territory. $70k and the seller didn’t even bother to spend the hour and a couple hundred bucks to fix the climate control buttons. . . Insane. . .

If this keeps up I am going to have to sell my 06 C4S Cab that has 43k miles on it. . .

SMH and feeling lucky I bought when I did. . .

As a .1 Turbo owner I'm starting wonder if we forced induction folks will ever get a piece of the hype...

Yeah, baffling. The lack of questioning on mechanical condition, history, etc from the comment crowd that is so often seen on auction sites (and valid for any sight-unseen purchase) was weird too, especially on a car that can be prone to bore scoring and IMS bearing failure. No requests for cold start, walk around, or drive along videos either.

Absolutely defies reason and logic but these are usually emotional purchases right? Note that it took only 2-3 bidders to drive the price from 50-70.

Here is a GTS I am a bit familiar with for $64,000.

Nice spec that someone can probably drive for close to free for a couple years.

@dgoldenz Very jealous. I know of a guy that has over 100k miles on his FF. Banged it up once but fixed it because he just loves the thing. Only in F-car world is 38k mile a lot. That's going to be the best 600 miles ever.

I'm looking forward to it. The sound....the sound. Sweet baby jesus the sound is so glorious. Full exhaust turns it into a completely different car. 100k miles is impressive, would be curious what his cost of ownership has been with that many miles. I've seen a number of FF's with over 40k miles so not surprising, these modern cars should be a lot more durable long-term. Nice to have warranty just in case though....but at least the two big items (speed sensor and PTU failure) have fixes in the $8-12k range now instead of the $30k+ that Ferrari use to want to replace the entire trans or PTU.
