I don't think there are many 997.2s to be had for sub-$60k right now, especially in a manual and a coupe. Unless there is accident history, really high miles, or other issues.
This one may be sub-$60k because of the color, mileage, options, had some trouble moving it.

TopGear never removes sold listings or updates the status - that 997.2 was sold 2 years ago...when that price made sense

Hi. If nothing else, here are some pictures of my 997. But, if you read on, I'll appreciate your opinions. Thanks in advance! Have a great weekend, go drive them! I'm going.
I'm a 62 yer-old retired guy who will soon be living one of several very different futures. I don't know which, but when it comes I will have to make a few quick decisions; one of which will be what to do with my 997. I am sincerely asking for your opinions because I think the car is special, but I may have to let it go. I need to know what it might bring and how to sell it, if it comes to that.
I don't know that I want to sell my 997.2 C4S 6MT Cab, but I know I want a 991.1 S PDK Cab. I need an idea of what my car will realistically bring to decide if I should have two Porsches, one Porsche, or maybe no Porsches depending on how the near future plays out. Some of my life is way up in the air right now, so I sincerely appreciate any opinions you care to share. I know the obvious answer is 'buy the 991 and look for a GT3,' but it won't be that simple, so I'm asking for your opinions.
I hope to know what you think my car might sell for on a site like BAT. I will sincerely appreciate your opinions and insights about selling my 997.
The car has good and bad points. I'll try to share enough of each for an informed opinion.
2009 Porsche 997.2 C4S Cabriolet, 38,900 miles, Six Speed, Meteor Grey Metallic with black top and interior, Sport Chrono, PCM 3.0, Bose, satellite, bluetooth, Navi, original 19" Classic wheels, basic heated & ventilated power seats. Service records from new. Services done on time, not miles. Spring, 2020 - 12yr 120K service, new clutch, flywheel, p/s pump, drive belt, brakes, new OEM horns, every fluid changed, flushed, and refilled. 4 yrs Blackstone Oil Analyses, engine has no issues. New OEM front carpet mats; car cover included.
2021 should be just be the annual inspection, top fluids, oil, filter, .... and Blackstone Oil Analysis. But, I'll fix anything that's wrong.
The Good (IMHO)
Consistent 3000 - 4000 miles per year from new. Great service records. Four owners; me since 01/2017
The engine uses no oil between annual oil changes
The car is tight with no rattles and the top doesn't leak
SoCal car until 2017 when I brought it to WI as a three-season, fair-weather car with a warm garage. This is my third Porsche
Front end repaint, 2017, new bumper cover (no license plate mounting holes)
Pro paint correction and Xpel full front and stone guards
Original wheels powder-coated in 2019, multiple coats of color and clear. No damage, no curb rash
Consistent care and thorough detailing, including the engine and suspension
Michelin Super Sports 4 yrs old (11K mi), lots of tread, good battery, etc; everything works as it should
Two keys and manuals.
The Fun (All original parts are boxed and included - most of the mods were installed since 2019)
TPC DSC, Cobb AccessPort, Rennline Adjustable engine mounts, Sharkwerks center muffler by-pass pipes, IPD plenum, BMC foam air filters, Numeric Short Shifter and Numeric Cables, Numeric black four pedal set, 7mm and 5mm wheel spacers, Titanium lug bolts, Zimmerman Z-Coat brake rotors, and Hawk HPC low-dust pads.
The bad
The last owner had some parking lot dings and asked if I wanted hem fixed, I said yes. She filed and insurance claim for the damage. CarFax Damage Report #1 - 2016
I took it to a PCA HPDE in 2017 and slid into a tire stack. Ruined the bumper cover, headlight, fender, and scraped the side a little. CarFax damage Repair 2017
This is how the front end came to be painted. Paint cured for eight months, then it had a full paint correction and detail before having Xpel installed.
The wide reflector has a tiny crack by one corner. Not separated, but visible if you know to look for it.
There are a some scratches on the inside of the windshield, low on the passenger side, where someone carelessly removed a sticker
Typical seat wear for a 38K car 997 that gets good care.
So, that's it. What do you think this would bring as is?
Should I look at trading it for a 991.1 S PDK?
Should I put it back to stock and sell the after-market parts separately?
I sincerely appreciate anyone who has an opinion they're willing to share.

I don’t see downside to trading it. Dealers are drooling for 997.2 MTs. If they don’t give you what you want just walk.
I would list it for $65,000 and see what happens. The damage on the carfax is going to hurt regardless of what you tell people unless you have pics and receipts.
God bless with whatever your future holds.

Wow looks like GrandPrix Motors scooped this Targa up and have relisted it next day for $100K. $28K profit for quick flip? These dealers are pretty slimy!! https://www.grandprimotors.com/used/...44e5a0dfe1.htm
