I am a new Florida resident and I take no offense by the commentaries about Florida cars..

Regarding title washing, thought Texas, Georgia and South Carolina were known for title washing, not Florida..

Florida is not the only state that has suffered from storm floods. Many of the Southern states near the panhandle have had severe flooding. Even up North as well.

The nice thing about many Florida high end vehicles is that they are often one of several in the household and often have low mileage. Some put on less than 2,000 miles a year on them as the owners are up North or elsewhere during the non winter months.

So, my suggestion is to stay away from Florida cars as they are horrible...…. and leave them for me!

I admit this will be totally nonsensical - but knowing what he went through is going to forever push me away from any PDK launch car, especially that color. It's got bad juju for me now.
I remember that 2009 PDK launch car when it was for sale at the dealer in TX. I didn't know the buyer ended up having trouble with it. Do you know the link to his thread?

Totally! FL doesn't have snow either.
Someone from NJ who is now a new FL resident...that's a first!

I remember being a tad envious he got his car for such a good price. Too bad he didn't buy a Fidelity Platinum warranty for it, that probably would have saved some headache.
Silver lining: The next guy gets a 997.2 4.0L engine with a new PDK 997.2, right?

What did he pay?

Dude, I swear. I would never buy a cheap high-end sports car as there are no free lunches. The cheap ones listed always ended costing the most or giving the biggest headache. I swear, just suck it up, and purchase a mid price car and you will sleep better at night.

People can learn something and dump it quick cheaply or the car may have needs that are costly. PPIs are also good for only obvious big stuff. I swear, I must get the seeing impaired dude in the shop for all of my PPIs.

I very distinctly remember it being at 38k, and they (dealer) raised their price actually (probably based on the interest). That was quite a good deal - but nothing I wanted to take on while already with my .2 C2S MT. I just knew I wouldn't love the car - and I certainly would not have loved 30k of repairs.

38K for a 997.2 C4S? How many miles? If mileage was less than 60k, they knew something was wrong with that car when they sold it.

I was one of the interested buyer for that 2009 launch car as it was near where I live (3 hours). I spoke with the manager and told him I live near and have cash in hand. He said sorry but someone from out of state already made a deposit. Wheeew glad I didn't buy that car, what a nightmare it turned out to be.

Pretty sweet price if checks out. Red with black carpets is pretty cool.

Do people that drive red interior cars get used to it ? I feel like it's an awesome color but might overwhelm me while I'm driving it. Not sure why.

I am sure it is great if you are the type of person who carries a 9mm in the glove box and likes to wave it around at imaginary slights; it probably just adds to the road rage impulse.

I think it would take the right kind of buyer, and that buyer isn't me. I could probably deal with terracotta however.
