I need a zero option 997.1/2 C2S for $25-30k with sub 40k miles and an interior a gypsy has been living in so I can gut it for a track car.

38k mile 07 targa 4s manual just listed on Carmax at $45k

The accident was minor rear bumper damage when the car had about 3,000 miles on it. No airbags deployed, no frame damage, paintwork limited to bumper cover only.
Dealer serviced, full records, zero modifications. Hopefully it is as clean as it looks in the pictures.
Any thoughts on the price? If not for the carfax ding, I think it would be a steal at $45K... With the damage report, probably market but as mentioned, a manual Targa 4S is extremely uncommon. I think there were less than 500 997.1 Targa 4S's sold in to the US, but lots of them were tips.

Looks to be a good price. Buy the Maxcare warranty too. I got my 911 at carmax and quite happy with it. A good detail and cleaning and a few odds and ends and thats all it needed. If you buy it, go to a Porsche dealer and get a good ppi, to see what it costs if anything to get it up to spec. Take that estimate and go back to Carmax and they will pay for it. Mine was missing the manuals, leather holder for them, needed a cupholder, and one stone guard. I got them to pay for all of that after I bought it. You take them the receipts and they hand you the cash.

Doesn't carmax give you some kind of warranty as well? If so, 45k looks even better.

I'd be surprised if they pony up for manuals, cupholders, stone-guard, etc. as a matter of policy, though it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask. I do know if you point out anything that is out of compliance with their "125+ point Certified Quality Inspection", like brakes, tires, etc, they will remedy the situation.

It all works out in the end - you can pay a non-negotiable price and go back later and ask that they fix or pay for what is wrong or you get a PPI and negotiate a price based on the cost to fix or pay for what is wrong.

It's based on mileage and the history of that model. Plus the deductible if any and length of contract be it miles or time. I'm guessing for an 07 for three years or say 75 k miles it's going to be 2500 to 3k price. But you dont know till you sit with the sales guy and go over it. All work is done by a Porsche dealer and it's inclusionary
