997s deals around the interwebz (no affiliation)

Anyone familiar with this car? Seems like a decent price for a base 997 C2 MT. I’d want to see the Carfax and results of a PPI, of course.

The car also went through auction in November. Kind of looks like it was traded to Porsche Irvine and they sent it through auction. If so, very bad sign IMO. Bad sign a car like this being sent through auction in this market. Definitely get a thorough PPI and look for past damage/repairs.

Looks pretty rough. "Carrera" looks poorly reapplied on rear lid. Also check gaps at lower corners of engine lid that seem off. Headlights hazed (but oddly not the turn signals) and lugnuts rusty. Missing tow hook cap on front. Seems like front bumper has been replaced and rear engine lid was off and then back on. Interior is beat. This car definitely has a story to tell.

Thanks.
I contacted the seller who said that he is not aware of any accidents, but I didn’t ask about damage in general. He attributed the crooked logo to a bad replacement of a badge damaged from washing/detailing (how common can this be?). A paint meter shows 3.5 microns nearby.

Damage could be worse then accident or not. Either one could be serious or very minimal.
Again, this thing going off to auction in this 997.2 market not too long after damage makes me very suspect about this car.
A good PPI would be in order, but do realize resell and liquidity will be harmed unless this thing is priced pretty low. If purchasing to drive the wheels off it and run up the miles, Carfax not matter if repaired properly. I would still try and negotiate much lower.

Tough to find now, but not so tough to find in 2011. Wouldn't aero kit be listed on addendum sticker as a dealer added option if added by dealer prior to the sale?
To answer Patrick's question, I think it depends on the car. Perhaps $10k on mint, low mileage (20k or less) on factory added cars, but much less on high mileage cars (60k or more). I have seen crazy, high prices for low mileage factory aero kit 997.2s and 997.1s (especially with X51), but prices on aero kit cars with high miles didn't reflect much a premium. Definitely no exact science.

I am not seeing that PCA manual GTS cab listed. Is it just on the PCA website? If so, no one will see it. I don't even check there . . .
I did run across this bad boy with factory installed aero kit.
