Anyone familiar with this car? Seems like a decent price for a base 997 C2 MT. I’d want to see the Carfax and results of a PPI, of course.

Looks pretty rough. "Carrera" looks poorly reapplied on rear lid. Also check gaps at lower corners of engine lid that seem off. Headlights hazed (but oddly not the turn signals) and lugnuts rusty. Missing tow hook cap on front. Seems like front bumper has been replaced and rear engine lid was off and then back on. Interior is beat. This car definitely has a story to tell.

Damage reported in March of this year and could potentially be no or very little miles since the damage. That could be a problem. I would want to see a decent bit of use after a wreck or damage.

The car also went through auction in November. Kind of looks like it was traded to Porsche Irvine and they sent it through auction. If so, very bad sign IMO. Bad sign a car like this being sent through auction in this market. Definitely get a thorough PPI and look for past damage/repairs.

Thanks. I was looking on my phone and didn't catch that. Other than the bolsters and door sill, the interior doesn't look too bad to me. The exterior issues are more concerning, though.

I called this dealer and he's open to offers. Fontana is not a town where you turn Porsches. It looks good in pictures. If I had time I bet I could flip it and make a few bucks. Pending condition.

Thanks.

I contacted the seller who said that he is not aware of any accidents, but I didn’t ask about damage in general. He attributed the crooked logo to a bad replacement of a badge damaged from washing/detailing (how common can this be?). A paint meter shows 3.5 microns nearby.

Accident is when cops are called out. Dude could have run it into a fence, tree or guard rail and drove it to a shop and perhaps then it becomes damage.

Damage could be worse then accident or not. Either one could be serious or very minimal.

Again, this thing going off to auction in this 997.2 market not too long after damage makes me very suspect about this car.

A good PPI would be in order, but do realize resell and liquidity will be harmed unless this thing is priced pretty low. If purchasing to drive the wheels off it and run up the miles, Carfax not matter if repaired properly. I would still try and negotiate much lower.

It varies depending on the car in question, of course, but I’d say 10-15k, with the higher end being for factory-installed since that’s of interest to some buyers.

To answer Patrick's question, I think it depends on the car. Perhaps $10k on mint, low mileage (20k or less) on factory added cars, but much less on high mileage cars (60k or more). I have seen crazy, high prices for low mileage factory aero kit 997.2s and 997.1s (especially with X51), but prices on aero kit cars with high miles didn't reflect much a premium. Definitely no exact science.

Thanks, this is consistent with my experience buying a nicely optioned 25k mile, factory equipped Aerokit Cup, C2S, 6 spd Coupe, this past October.

Bonus: You only need $600 down! No license? Check. No credit? Double check. Bad Credit? No problem!

Looks like this 2011 black GTS cab with pdk sold fairly quickly that had an ask price of $76k as it is no longer on Porsche Tampa's website. It was there last week.. Brother is looking for one now but also wants ventilated seats.

I am not seeing that PCA manual GTS cab listed. Is it just on the PCA website? If so, no one will see it. I don't even check there . . .

I did run across this bad boy with factory installed aero kit.

What is the price on a clean, low miles c2s manual with aero kit going for?

997.2s, good luck finding one. I saw one the other day for $86,000, but it only had 2,000 miles.
