A good Porsche dealer will go to the car, get the DME report, take a picture of it...and text it to you.

IMO this is close to a fantastic deal. Rennlist contributing dealer CPO with a very strong price.

Before landing on my ebay car I was negotiating with private sellers with stronger build and bit less miles but no CPO.

The car doesn't have sport Chrono, but I understand it's not a big deal for manual cars. Strangely doesn't list LSD in the build sheet, but I'm sure not many cares.

I requested the DME scan again, and got nothing but crickets for a few hours. After which I was informed the car was on hold for another out of state buyer. Two days later I was informed that the car was indeed sold, but "I have a 2014 model available in stock if you are you interested."

...real helpful.

No matter, there are other cars to look at..

An underpriced GT3 that has been listed 663 days on CarGurus with no price changes.... Doesn't pass the sniff test.

A closer look shows several different addresses on their website, none of which look like any sort of car dealer, as well as many other warning flags.

Posting up great 997 deals is awesome, but maybe some due diligence on deals that seem to good to be true?

This is a google sat picture of one of their addresses... Does this look like a business that claims to have five quarter million dollar Ferraris, four late model Aston Martins, a $290K Rolls Royce Wraith, and 25 late model Porsches including the above GT3 in current inventory? And a dealer with that kind of inventory having a grand total of 7 google reviews, three 5-star gushing reviews and the rest 1-star 'this guys are a bunch of crooks' reviews?

 

You're right. I guess I got a bit enthusiastic at the thought of GT3 prices finally dropping. My apologies. I'll be more careful.
