IMO, its too much for the miles

Too much for the miles, and the dealer can't be bothered to provide a carfax.

If it was mid 30's with a clean carfax I'd look at it.

So what do you all think is a fair price for an '05 C2S launch edition with under 25k miles on it? There's a local one that is tempting me, even though it's not the 997.2 I prefer.

Fair enough. Out of boredom I'm asked a buddy that works at a car dealership and can pull a carfax for me. I'll post my findings when I get it. Thanks again

Ipanema blue is a very uncommon color, and may not be to everyone's taste, but if you are looking for one, park place Porsche just listed a c4s 2012 coupe with pdk, black interior, for 66k.

I have this question too. There's one with 13K miles, original owner, asking $49K.

I'm gonna go look at this car this weekend. Miles are high, + probably not my #1 color combo (and I hate those black rims) but I'll let you know what I find.

Excellence Magazine recently valued the 05 997S launch editions at 35k - 45k

They go cheap because you cannot know whether it has a single row IMS or the one you cannot replace. Not a big deal, just plan to have the transmission dropped and depending on what you find do IMS and clutch or just clutch. Predicable effort, but the uncertainly doesn't go well with people.

If the car is tiptronic that gets throw off a bit, on the other hand a 2005 tip should be dirt cheap. And many launch vehicles are very well equipped.

I thought there was a cut off date by VIN that determined that, as per the class action suit.

I don't know whether the lawyers thought they found a VIN method. I am sure that technical people claim none such method exists.

Motor number - maybe. The problem is that older engines can be mixed into new car production.
