What do you think about the Mileage? this car has 79k. Any major maintenance issues that will come up soon?
asking price is very fair. They paid $40K for it at the auction on Friday. Seller was Tesla Motors so it was traded in for a Tesla. I think it had one quarter panel repainted and some scratches, nothing major. Make sur PPI does good visual inspection.

I am personally not a fan of grey interior so I did not bid on it.

That is dash and tops of doors, not seats. I have never seen black seats in a beige interior and it does not have deviating carpet so it came with Beige carpets as well.

That car would have looked like this coming from the factory. This is two tone beige and grey. Different colored seats would be deviating or specific mention of seats.

This seems like a nice deal for a low mileage example, though the seats look like they are every bit of 13 years old.

This is a really nice car but I'm trying to steer away from the 2005 unless he has replace or upgraded the IMSB.

Doug H. I will take your world for it, I'm over that car. You guys are right, too much issues and deviations. Thank you all for your experts advice.

I can see how it is enticing, but too much weirdness going on and it is from Houston area with all of that weirdness goin on. The guy selling it is some young looking wierdo as well. The risk of major headache or disspoinment seems to great here and that car will never be very liquid with all of the modifications and paint.

Keep this in mind- both Carmax and Texas Direct will buy cars. They do it every day all day long and are actually fair with their purchase price offers. Not sure why he just hasn't gone to one of them to sell the car? ?

Repaint, redone interior and in flood country. They ain't stupid . . . At $30k, I bet he has tried and I doubt he got a PPI nor knew what he was getting when he purchased.

Definitely not the factory seats. The build sheet says they should have supple leather, which has (ugly) pleated folds in it and no dimpling. Perhaps the owner at some point switched them out for black standard seats because they disliked the supple leather, which is understandable, if that was the only "off" part of the deal that would be fine, but anyway you cut it, this is simply not a "no stories" car. If you want to drive it and own it and it is a great deal in your mind, have fun and don't let anyone stop you, you sure seem dead-set on it. If you expect to sell it at any reasonable point in the future, I would expect any potentially knowledgeable buyer to take a hard pass. If you don't see this being a drive-it-til-the-wheel-fall-off purchase, no matter how much you feel like you are getting a deal now, go look for another car, Arctic Silver is very common and a great color, for the same or a little more money with some patience you can buy a car that has no potential hidden history that will come to haunt you when you resell, even if it is in fact a perfectly fine car. Grey is probably the second most common color on 997's expect maybe black so that won't be hard to find either.

Here is a car with the correct two tone interior for reference (less the supple leather which looks dated). One owner car, great options, low miles, not a lot more than the very suspect car he is looking at supposedly at $36k instead of $30k. Sure it is a little under market because off the uncommon Camon Red Metallic color, which the dealer's boring pictures aren't doing any favors.

I had to do a double take to make sure this wasn't the same car posted last week that had been in an accident. No VIN posted to look up specs but appears to have some options looking at the interior.

I PPI'd this 997.2 at Nashville Porsche. I walked away due to the range 4,5,6 overrevs. Otherwise it's a great car!
