Also, for anyone else looking for an extended warranty through Fidelity, do contact Mike (mjourdan@mossymotors.com), his prices are great!

Put a deposit down on a car this past week. Fingers crossed PPI comes back clean.

Just sent Mike an e-mail.

Curious, how many folks that purchased a warranty have never had to use it? Is there a poll or thread for that somewhere?

Thanks!

I had heard that you need an inspection done before anyone will issue one. If that is the case, can I just get a dealer to do a PPI, and then scan that over to him? Or how does that work.

Does anyone ever purchase the Fidelity Powertrain Coverage instead of the Fidelity Platinum?

It was smooth as silk with Mike back in January - no issues and I've made 2 claims since then.

Seems like it would cover engine and transmission for catastrophic failures. I have reached out to Mike and hope to learn more about it.

Just pulled trigger on Fidelity Platinum. I went with Troy Dietrich. I compared him with previously mentioned Mike (MJ). Troy's prices were better. No hassles and no inspections re previous questions. easy email submission of registration copy and attesting to current miles. Highly recommend Troy. I corresponded with MJ as well and very helpful but didn't beat Troy's prices.

I contacted Troy for a quote for my CPO 2011 C2S and he couldn't give me a quote since it is his policy to only work with vehicles under their original 4 year factory warranty...so that's a nogo for most 997's.

However, he did say that if you're local to them, they'd be able to do an inspection on the vehicle and offer a warranty then, but not for out of state vehicles not under the original manufacturer's warranty.

Starvational,

Sorry. I failed to mention that as I was still under 4 years and my factory warranty was soon to expire. Good luck

Got the same answer. He won't even write a policy for a 997 still under CPO coverage.
