No, sorry, water spots. But the paint on all wheels has been over-washed to the point of being flat black and there are some fairly deep gouges. We think the solvent used to clean the wheels also corroded the wheel centers.

Yup, my restorer/detailer said that too.

Yes, there's a bit of debate on how much paint is left but most agree it's not much and polishing any further is a risk.

Could those spots on the wheels been from a acid based cleaner used to clean them?

What caused that stain in the back bumper? (Pic #1) Was it a egg or bird dropping that baked into the sun?

Why all of the scratches on the door handle? (pic #2)

The back bumper appears to be a poor attempt to respray or cover up damage.

I think the general consensus us a bad, partial respray on the rear. In general the car was an abused lease return passed off as a CPO. It showed up with missing rear seats, missing key and all the damage and wear and tear pictured. I imagine Porsche of Beverly Hills dinged the lease returner and then screwed me. Win win.

I know you were in touch with someone at PCNA. Have they seen these pictures?

PCNA don't seem to give a toss. I e-mailed them using an address found by a Rennlister and it was bounced back. I connected with a PCNA VP on LinkedIn and sent an email which has been ignored.

Lozzy did you ever find out the previous owner of your GT3?
Because based on these pics this is definitely the work of lilo, she's the only one that can wreck a brand new GT3.

How far from Atlanta are you? If somewhat nearby I'm thinking a road trip in the GTS to their headquarters. That may be the only way to get the attention of those who really need to hear about this. I find it hard to believe that anyone with authority within PCNA would know about this PR train wreck and yawn in response. Especially since the amount of money it would cost the dealer to make you whole is a pittance in the big scheme of things.

I'd be interested to learn what Carfax listed for this car. Where was the first owner located? How many owners did it have?

It looks like somebody beat the living crap out of this car, like it was stolen and taken on a joyride. Or hurricane damage? Did you check for water damage? That would be a great way out for you since it's illegal to not divulge storm damage. Was it registered in NY or NJ?

You did check Carfax before the sale?
