Mod Men: How did you modified your Carrera
#46
Here's mine modded with a purpose. Ordered the '09C2S with PDK, Adaptive sport seats, Limited slip, PASM etc. I wanted a great road car that I could still play with at autocrosses if I choose.
I have improved the brake feel by adding the GT3 master cylinder and stainless steel brake lines. The third radiator mod provides better cooling in our Texas heat. Forged Champion wheels are stronger and much lighter than the OPEM wheels, thus unsprung weight is reduced. I have the sport chrono software without the sport chrono wart. Springs and sway bars are changed out to GT3 bars ( Tarret racing drop links) and sport PASM springs which also allow a more aggressive alignment. The Sharkwerks third muffler by pass pipes reduce rear weight by over 10 lbs and provide a better sound with no drone. Sport bucket seats are more supportive on my back than the Adaptive sport seats and significantly reduce vehicle weight. An Odessy lightweight battery reduces weight up high and forward.
Cosmetically clear corner lights and tinted windows, did I mention it is warm in Texas. The car remains a comfortable road car and corners MUCH better. With but 33,000 miles on the clock it is a keeper for a long time.

Good looking C2S. All I've done to mine is a Tubi exhaust. Will prob. get a B&M shifter and some new wheels from Tom at Champion when I get new tires, will try the Michelins, try something different from the Pilot Sports.
I'm pretty happy with my very lightly optioned C2S. The Tubi made it sound the way it should. You're not going to add a bunch of h.p, so...

Easy job, cup holder is two T25 screws, go to macarbon's website and it'll show you how to remove it. Rotec comes with the whole trim and cupholder so it's easy to replace. Macarbon has the option to buy the trim only and you have to pry it off, seems kinda dangerous. Hand brake just pulls out after you take the end cap off. Both are easy to do, nothing too complicated.

My mods have concentrated mainly on my interior.
- Leather rear center console & upgraded armrest
- DCT thicker leather/carbon sport wheel
- Carbon shift **** and dash trim
- Leather inner mirror triangles & ignition key surround by Exclusive Option
Have the following on order:
- Porsche OEM Leather dash defroster vents and leather door handle spears
That should complete my leather upgrades for now.
Only other mod is a Fister Exhaust, which I truly love. Oh, and clear side markers. The sight, touch and smell of my leather upgrades, combined with the sound of the exhaust, makes the 911 that much more a delight to 4 out of my 5 senses.
Will probably do a set of wheels next.

Thanks! Having a black exterior, a black interior would be the natural choice for many. But I do agree that the brown interior makes it more unique and bit more special to me, since black cars are pretty common. That's why I've focused mainly on interior mod upgrades.
