Replaced my 5 year old battery (preventative maintenance) with a Duralast Platinum AGM H7/94R from AutoZone. Perfect size, shape, and look as OEM (probably same exact product as also labeled as Porsche, Bosch, and others) with the upgrade to AGM over lead acid. Yup, starts up strong happy, and looks OEM. Ready for another 5-6 years.

Removed the driver's door card and replaced the door handle axle. Last week when getting out of my car, I pulled the door handle and heard a slight ping. After that the handle was loose and the window wouldn't stay up. When I got the card off I could see the spring was unseated, due to the plastic starting to crack and flex. Combined the new plastic piece with the old arm that fits with the existing door cable, and now its working again. Unfortunately adding foam tape to a couple spots didn't fix the squeak in the door around the mirror and window switches didn't resolve a noise issue at certain RPMs.

Ok,I see why you did what you did. That would bother me too. Don't have any of it yet but I'm sure it's coming.

I paid mine off!!! Not to out myself as a peasant but I'm proud.

Also in the midst of replacing my water pump, which has actually turned into

- Low temp thermostat
- Water pump
- Brake booster vacuum lines
- alternator removal
- Oil filler tube
- Replace all exhaust hardware and gaskets

Coolant reservoir and motor mounts were done in 2020 when I purchased the car or else I'd do em now too. Car has 118k miles.

If I were to caption this photo ^^^ it would be ... "I know that 10mm socket is here somewhere!"

My Headunit issue was a bad wire and connector, some electronics cleaners and repining a couple of wires in a connector and ... Magic, my AMP and CD Changer works again.

These days it seems that I keep running into 16 mm bolts on friends' cars. That seems to be the one size I don't have. Also the one size that doesn't come standard in wrench sets.

Have had my car for 4 years and unsure when the battery was replaced before. Installed a Group h6 battery- ~10 lbs lighter than OEM H7 and there is mounting holes for it!

also painted the hold down as it was a little corroded.

Same here, doing water pump, LTT, some coolant hoses, center radiator and working on some exhaust mounting hardware too.

AURGH! Drove the front splitter into the curb at the local grocery store. No physical damage other then buggered up the paint a bit, now I need to buff that out. I also needed to walk off the anger... I never do that. Well, almost never.

Replaced the PCM display (numerous, and growing, dead pixels in the old one).
