Clicked over 148k miles completing my first reasonably long road trip with the new suspension, wheels, and cargo box on the car.
Anyone else have issues with BC coilovers rattling while going over rough roads below like 25mph? I've pulled the suspension off after the initial install to double check everything was tightened to spec, including the preload on the spring, top nut, steering and control arm parts, etc. And there are no obvious culprits. The only source of rattle I can think of now is the bearing in the BC camber plates. If I ditch the spring top hat I think I can use stock mounts so that'll be my next attempt to solve. Overall happy with the inexpensive coils, but the rattle is a bit of a bummer.
New owner here, so I have been very busy and have not been able to post daily. Here is what I have done over the past week:
1 - replaced climate control switches and radio *****
2 - replaced a clip and a screw that were found missing
3 - replaced a few missing frunk carpet caps and a battery cover screw
4 - replaced cup holder and re-glued carbon trim pieces to dash
5 - replaced front bumper to OEM style
6 - repaired front seat rail covers
7 - replaced LED fog and taillights with OEM style
8 - replaced missing cigarette lighter in ash tray
9 - removed bluetooth, back up camera and radar detector hardwiring from prior owner
10 - repaired rocker panel skirt clip
11 - removed a carbon fiber style hood wrap
12 - stripped black paint off of exhaust tips and polished
13 - cleaned front radiators
Looks fantastic. What seat is it? Looks like a factory option?
the gt2 carbon fiber folding bucket seats. I think it was an option on this car, I’m not 100% sure if the seats were only an option on the gt cars but yes, made by Porsche.
Yesterday I designed and installed a prototype phone holder (Rennlist style) - still needs some finishing touches and paint.
I also touched up several dozen rock chips using the paintscratch product line that I ordered a few weeks ago and got shipped to me last week. Although it doesn't look it - the touch up is barely visible from a foot or two. I still need to apply another coat or two and cut and buff the repaired area.
This is the before pic - same area - but picture was taken outside several weeks ago.
And lastly, I installed a dashcam (front and rear) and routed wiring to the fuse panel. I didn't install the trim just yet - I want to confirm full operation of driving and parking modes.
Carbon bucket seats were an option on GTS and GT3s. I'm not positive about other models. It was a rare option on GTS's. Only 14 cars in the US were sold with this option. I am thinking of getting a set for my car. I had them in my GT3 and they are the shizzle!

I second that shizzle proclamation. I was a bit nervous spending that much on seats I only got to sit in for a few min but holy smokes do they change the driving experience.
So you’re saying my GTS is a one of since it has one bucket and one 14 way
Bought the Unichip upgrade for the PCM Was not too difficult to install the cable/chip board but a PITA to remove the PCM and I had to do it twice as 1st round no sound came out after fitting it in. Finally found out the 2nd time round after refitting all the cables again it was the Bose optical cable that wasnt sitting in properly into the rear connectors. Works perfect now ! very pleased with this And last weekend replaced the stock filters with BMC filters.
I didn't track the GT3, but have tracked my other 911s and cars. I might take the GTS to the track once or twice but my driving style has changed and I am more backroad cruiser now, not drive it like you stole it. The bucket seats are still awesome, even for street driving.
