New to me, 2008 997.1 C4S. The car was originally picked up at the factory, lived in Germany for 10 years. Brought to USA by original owner. 12,000 miles, book is full of dealer maintenance entries / stamps from a couple of German dealerships. Tires looked really good, but were 12 years old..

I bought new tires (MP4S), oil and filter change, air filter, cabin filter, gearbox/transaxle fluid change (Mobil PTX), front diff/4WD controller fluid change, center radiator install, and clear front side marker lights installed. Ordered the Sport software upgrade from Suncoast. After that is installed, will take a breather to decide what’s next. Really enjoying working on the car and driving it too!

New Optima Yellow Top H6 into the wife's car today. Perfect fit with the hold down supplied that aligned with one of the tray holes.

Previous Optima Red Top I removed had been in there since 09/01/14. We were getting occasional PSM and ABS errors and the car was slow to crank even after being on a Battery Tender showing fully charged. Didn't want her to get stranded somewhere while I was out of town and when these AGM batteries fail its usually instantaneous, like stated the car this morning and then the next time, not even an attempt.

I'm going to charge the old one on the Optima charger and see what the final charging amperage is and if it will even show it achieved 100% as that's how I can tell when the batteries are no longer good. When I connected it it showed only 75%.

Cables reach no problem

Cover fits on perfectly

Yesterday I got her up on the quickjack, removed the rear bumper, and exhaust up to the cats to replace the rusted out heat shields. Finished bank 1-3 and while working on 4-6 I snapped a bolt on a ground connector. Drilled it out, and chased the threads with a M8 1.25 tap, only to realize the dealer gave me 2 bank 1-3 upper shields. Looks like I’ll be without a car for a few days while they send me the correct part. I also ordered all new rear control arms for when I install the B16’s. Once installed my entire suspension will be fresh.

waiting on some replacement spacers for the Tarrett strut mounts as the ones I got did not have enough threads coming through for the shock.

More pics to come but picked up a sweet 997.1MT last week. Needs some paint correction and chips fixed. I want to remove the front half bra and redo that. Lower on Eibach's and some others but will post more shortly. Put on new PS4S shoes this week. Any recommendations for detailers in Orange County you trust appreciated.

Thank You!
Here is the link to the seller on Ebay. Great communication and no issues since having them. They also come in other colors.

They are better looking in person. Bwoy is the reason I have a set on mine. They look so good on black as well. Love the Allroad BYW.

Thanks a lot. I'm patiently waiting to see the setup on your car Lol.

The Allroad is the daily... such a great car with strong road presence. Sits wide and low!
